Marina Popovich's life is full of mysteries. The only test pilot in the world who set 101 world records, an aviation colonel, a full member of three academies, a doctor of sciences, she has devoted recent years to researching anomalous phenomena that she herself has repeatedly encountered.

Marina Vasilyeva's early childhood was spent in the Smolensk region. “The Germans bombed us during the war,” she recalls. - I will forever remember the hum of bombers, saw how the Nazis shot down a Russian plane and fired at the pilot who jumped out with a parachute … I was five years old, and that's when I decided to become a pilot - in order to take revenge.

At the age of 14, Marina enrolled in the flying club, claiming that she was already seventeen. After the seventh grade I went to Novosibirsk to enter the aviation school. At first she was not accepted: the girl was only sixteen, and women were not accepted as pilots. They advised me to contact Voroshilov, who was then in command of aviation. He asked how old she was, she answered - twenty-two. Received a referral to study.

Since Marina was from the occupied territory, she indicated that the documents were lost, and wrote the date of birth - July 20, 1931. While she was actually born on July 12, 1937. Only later, when Vasilyeva had to test combat MiGs, a request was sent from the headquarters to Smolensk, and there they found a baptism certificate in the church, where the real date of birth was … But the official biography of the young pilot was not corrected.

After graduating from college, Marina was sent as a design engineer to the Novosibirsk plant named after the Comintern. Then she studied at the DOSAAF flight school in Saransk. “My height was too small for a pilot,” recalls Marina Lavrentievna. - At first, they were not allowed to fly, I jumped with a parachute. But I still achieved my goal - they entrusted me with the plane!"

Upon graduation, Vasilyeva was awarded the title of instructor pilot. At 24, she married Pavel Popovich, later a famous cosmonaut, gave birth to a daughter, Natalia. She worked in Petrozavodsk as a flight commander, then managed to get transferred to Moscow.

Marina had a chance to fly with Vladimir Seregin, who later died together with Gagarin. She was a military pilot of the transport link. Then she passed the competition for a test pilot. In 1964, she, the first among women, managed to overcome the sound barrier on the MIG-21 fighter.

Having decided to continue her education, Marina entered the Kiev branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute at the Faculty of Electrical Special Equipment.

But from the fourth year she transferred to the Academy of Civil Aviation. And all this time she continued to test the aircraft …

After retiring, Marina Lavrentievna Popovich seriously engaged in research in the field of ufology, anomalous phenomena. Wrote the book "UFOs over Russia". She met with many famous contactees - Antonio Ribeira, Jean-Jacques Petit. I am convinced that they really

entered into communication with another mind, wrote their works under its dictation.

“At one time, I became interested in cryptozoology,” says Popovich. - I went on an expedition to the Pamirs with my youngest daughter in search of Bigfoot. Once we sit by the fire and see - a matte star, or rather, some kind of luminous object, hovers above us. And the beam from it goes to the forest. Hanged and left in zigzags.

In the tents, everyone slept with their heads towards the exit, and my daughter and I went inside. And at night I wake up and see: someone is dragging my Oksana out of the tent. Who exactly - I did not see. Oksana later said that she remembers the touch of someone's hands - strong and soft. And the head of the group, Oleg Rumyantsev, said that some huge creature was leaning over our tent.

We tried to make contact with Bigfoot. They cut squares of all colors of the rainbow out of paper and laid them out on the ground for the night. They asked the question: “What do you like

color, who are you?"

In the morning, all the green squares disappeared. Nearby we found a strange footprint from a very large foot.

I have heard a lot about this creature. According to American researchers, yeti are a side branch of humanity. After the Great Flood, only the Sherpa people and astronomers who lived high in the mountains remained on earth.

Sherpa followed the path of self-knowledge, their descendants - snowmen - have the gift of telepathy, clairvoyance, levitation. Scientists - our ancestors - followed the path of cognition of the surrounding world …"

This is symbolic - when a person who has dedicated his life to the sky, aviation, suddenly hits "mysticism". But, perhaps, the profession of an aviator in itself makes one think about the unsolved phenomena of our world?
