A resident of Great Britain received an electric shock of 11 thousand volts, trying to liquidate the consequences of the Atlantic storm "Emma", while feeling practically nothing. A description of the incident was posted on the website of the electricity company Electricity North West.

The incident took place in the city of Mottram, near Manchester. The man found a large branch on the power line, torn from a tree by the elements, and tried to remove it. Feeling a tingling sensation, he abandoned the idea and called the power engineers.

The company's emergency management specialist Chris Fox immediately cut off the electricity on the 11,000-volt line and also advised the caller to stay away from the area.

Fox called this man the luckiest man on Earth, since he escaped certain death. The specialist pointed out that a whole combination of factors helped the man survive: his gloves, boots and the fact that the branch was completely dry. “One way or another, we cannot believe that he managed to remain safe and sound,” added the specialist.
