A Christmas miracle happened to a Canadian woman on Christmas Eve. After spending three days under a snow block at a temperature of 15 degrees below zero, the woman survived
Donna Molnar, 55, was last seen leaving her home in western Toronto before disappearing. At this time, a snow storm was already raging, but the woman left the house to buy food.
The day after Molnar disappeared, her car was found in the area of a snow-covered road, but the woman was not in it. Search and rescue operations in the area where the Canadian's car was found were carried out over the next two days, but there was no result, and the rescuers practically gave up hope of finding Molnar alive.
However, at some point, the police dog Ace began to bark, thereby pointing to a snowdrift that was located about two hundred meters from the place where the missing woman's car was found.
It was in this snowdrift that the rescuers found the Canadian, whose body was hypothermic. At the moment she is in the hospital, and doctors assess her condition as serious but stable.
According to police, the property of snow to act as a good insulator helped the woman survive.
“This deep snow could have served as an excellent thermal insulator and kept her body temperature high enough to survive for three days,” Senior Sgt. Mark Cox, a Canadian official, said.
According to him, the missing woman, leaving her car to call for help, was lost in space due to heavy snow.
