Biped dogs found in Bolivia

The author of the find claims that the two-nosed Andean tiger hounds can be effectively used in the search for mines and drugs.

Researcher Colonel John Blashford-Snell discovered a breed of dog with two noses during his last expedition to the Bolivian Andes. The scientist and his team studied the small crater and, among other things, found confirmation of the existence of this rare breed. The author of the find claims that these dogs have a particularly keen sense. He suggests that the two-nosed Andean tiger hounds can be effectively used in the search for mines and drugs, according to the BBC news service.

For the first time, the researcher saw such a dog in the same region in 2005. In May of this year, as a result of a second expedition, scientists discovered a live specimen with two noses.

It is noteworthy that as early as 1913, researcher Percy Fawcett reported encounters with this strange breed, but then he had no evidence. It is possible that the found specimen is a descendant of the dog breed with two noses, known in medieval Spain as the Navarre Pachons.

The Bolivian army showed interest in the two-nosed dog and began collecting DNA samples.
