The mystery of the Egyptian sphinxes has always worried a person, because they are described in mythology as bloody monsters that became messengers of the punishment of the gods. Independent researchers have found that a spell on the statues of St. Petersburg can cause chaos around the world.
It all began in the 90s, when the media published a message from a resident of the city, describing that these stone creatures negatively affect the teachers and students of the Academy of Arts. Polina Konovrotskaya argued that talented representatives of the creative intelligentsia became victims of the energy attacks of sculptures while walking along the embankment, after which they went crazy or received various blows of fate. A person experiences an irresistible desire to come closer to the sphinx, after which the face of this monster turns into a lion's face. Then the affected person experiences anxiety and falls into a daze, after which she cannot remember what happened to her during this time. Historian Gerasimov noted that most often such situations occurred in a rainy season or in winter, and could also last for several days. He personally decided to conduct an experiment,choosing a volunteer who looked at the sculpture, and then noticing negative changes, he simply touched her torso with his hand. Such actions destroyed the power of the spell, but then the person suffered from headaches and high blood pressure.
Residents of the city reacted ambiguously to such information, after which many persons began to avoid contact with unusual creations of the masters. Skeptics regarded it as superstition and did not attach much importance to the incidents that occurred. Then the employees of the research institute were also intrigued by the anomalous phenomena and decided to conduct their experiments. One man came to the statues twice a day with special devices in his pocket to measure his mental state, but no negative reactions from the body followed.
Similar actions by his colleagues showed identical results, only people continued to describe various cases that occurred near the sphinxes. They distrusted the research of fellow scientists who might simply not be a victim because of their industry. It turned out that the statues were indeed taken out of Egypt in 1830 by Andrei Muravyov, who decided to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Places. Arriving in Constantinople, he could not board a ship going to the Syrian lands, after which he decided to change the path and looked into an exotic country. With such prophecies, the Sphinxes ended up in St. Petersburg, so scientists hope that now none of the people will be able to correctly read the language of a dead civilization.
