Any civilization stands on the bones of its ancestors - and nothing can be done about it. Cemeteries are traditionally built on the outskirts of cities, and they, cities, tend to grow in breadth and distance. And if the cemetery did not manage to receive the status of a cultural heritage object, then its fate is sad: the foundations of houses are being put on the graves. For example, in Moscow, a small television center building, the Ostankino tower and several residential buildings in the district were built on the site of an ancient cemetery. According to archaeologists, in ancient times this place was a pagan temple where sacrifices were performed.

According to legend, in 1558, a hunched-over old woman appeared to the owner of the village of Ostankinskoye, the noble boyar Alexei Satin, hit the threshold of the house three times with her stick and threatened: “Don't plow the land, don't disturb. On the remains, she is an ancient people, that's why she is called Ostankino. " The boyar did not listen to the old woman, laughed, and a few days later he was captured and executed by order of Ivan the Terrible. Other owners of the village did not live long either.
In the 18th century, Count Sheremetev came into possession of the Ostankino estate. Patron of the arts, he founded a theater on the estate. Artists were just "taught" with rods in the stables, they often suffered from consumption, suffered and eventually committed suicide. They drowned in the Ostankino ponds. On the site of these ponds (today they are called so - akterkin), there is now a small building of the ASK-3 television center, where the editorial offices and technical studios of the ORT, NTV, TV-6 and others TV channels are located. Security guards, who are on duty around the clock, talk about the strange sounds and sighs that fill the ASK-3 building at night. And people who are there during the day complain of fatigue, headache, and decreased immunity. On the site of two more ponds, high-rise buildings were built. Now in these houses, as evidenced by police statistics, suicides are often committed.
