According to legend, in the 19th century, a married couple of merchants, the Kusovnikovs, who were famous for their stinginess, lived near the old tea and coffee shop on Myasnitskaya in the 19th century. More than anything, they feared that their wealth would be stolen from them, but danger overtook them from the other side: one night the fire that their servant lit in the fireplace engulfed the whole house, and all their property was destroyed in the fire. Kusovnikova, upon learning of this, immediately died of grief, and her husband followed her after several months of unsuccessful attempts to restore the banknotes. Now many claim that at night they saw the ghosts of two old men near their house, rushing at passers-by with the question "Where is our money?"

Minin and Pozharsky
Minin and Pozharsky are national liberators, whose monument stands on Red Square. An Englishwoman Martha Wilmot, who was visiting Russia in 1807, wrote in her diary: “There are rumors that absolutely everyone believes that a few days ago, at night, the watchman of the Great Cathedral in the Kremlin was greatly frightened by the sound of horses coming from the church. He rushed to the minister to call for help and see what was there together. The watchman began to open the doors with the keys, but they suddenly opened themselves, the church suddenly lit up, and the peasant appeared two soldiers in full armor, baptizing and bowing before the image of the Kazan Mother of God. After the prayer, they mounted their horses and dashed off, but at parting they announced publicly that they intended to support their fellow countrymen in the battle against the French and that Buonaparte would certainly fall. Whether it was quackery or there is something in it that I do not understand, but the church minister and the guard swore under oath before the Moscow governor-general of the veracity of their testimony. Of course, the people immediately guessed that the horsemen were none other than Minin and Pozharsky, helping the Russians in the fight against Napoleon.

The ghost of a princess with a difficult fate, who was separated from her beloved Prince Vasily Golitsyn after Peter I came to power, often appears in the underpass near the Moscow hotel in Okhotny Ryad. The ghost at the grave of Sergei Yesenin
Whose ghost "attracts" the grave of the famous "singer of Russian nature"? Oddly enough, this is not the poet himself. On the night of December 3, 1926, a woman appeared at Yesenin's grave, nervously smoking. After writing a few words on a piece of paper, she put the revolver to her temple and pulled the trigger. A misfire, then another. Finally, a shot rang out. The leaflet read: “I killed myself here, although I know that after that even more dogs will be hanged on Yesenin. But he and I don't care. In this grave for me everything is most precious. "It was, as she was called, the guardian angel of the poet, Galina Benislavskaya. Her lifeless body lay on the poet's grave all night, giving almost all the blood to Yesenin. Soon she was buried next to his grave on Vagankovsky cemetery. However, until now, according to visitors to the cemetery,on his grave, you can see the ghost of a woman standing silently.
