Have you noticed that most of the known ghosts are female? The fact is that ladies, being more emotional, are much more likely to die because of unhappy love, the loss of a loved one, or the tragedies associated with their children.

And strong emotions turn into energy that continues to keep them in this world. It is not uncommon for ghosts of children, who, according to legend, are trying to find their mothers. Such myths exist not only abroad, but also in Russia.

Librarian killer

One of these ghosts was chosen by the Kirov Regional Library named after A. I. Herzen. Back in the 60s of the last century, such a story happened there. One of the employees was on duty in the library on the weekend and decided to call her military husband from work, who was also on duty at that time.

During the conversation, the woman suddenly said that the door creaked and someone was walking. The connection was abruptly cut off. The husband was alarmed and, taking with him the armed soldiers, went to the library. They entered the building through the window. The husband found his wife in a deep swoon. They began to look for the one who scared her, but they did not find anyone.

There is a legend that a tragedy once happened in the basements of Gertsenka, where there used to be residential apartments. The librarian who rented an apartment there was having an affair with a married man. When he refused to leave his wife for the sake of his beloved, she first threw herself at him with a knife, and then laid hands on herself. Here she is now wandering around the house.

1942 turned out to be hungry for Kirovites. And at the market there were some Augusta Abaturova and Pelageya Klyukina selling meat pies. Tradeswomen lived in the basement of the house. Besides pies, they constantly fried cutlets. Where did the meat come from, because food was then given on ration cards? Bad rumors spread among the neighbors. Moreover, children began to disappear in the vicinity …

Once the tenants of the house heard a cry from the basement: “Auntie, don't touch! Don't need a knife! The neighbors quickly ran to the noise and saw the murdered child and Abaturova with a knife above him. The killer slit the victim's throat … She quickly got her bearings, jumped out the window and ran towards the river.

They say that the cannibal even managed to buy a ferry ticket, but then the police detained her. Pelageya Klyukina was arrested right at home. Both were tried, but for some reason they were not shot, but sent to a strict regime colony, where they were later killed by inmates. Since then, no one wants to live in this house - they are afraid to hear the groans of children killed in the basement.

Dead babies in Saratov

In Saratov, at the intersection of Sovetskaya and Radishcheva streets, there is an old three-story house with columns and caryatids, known in the city as the Yakhimovich mansion. The building was built at the beginning of the last century, its first owner was the engineer Vyacheslav Yakhimovich. During its construction, for the first time in Saratov, the heating and ventilation systems developed by Yakhimovich, built into the floor and walls, were used.

Today the building is recognized as being in emergency condition and has been resettled. Nevertheless, the inhabitants of the neighboring houses more than once heard the crying of children coming from there and saw the curling green haze. And once someone even saw a ghost of a young girl near the building … Specialists of the Integral-Cosmopoisk research association examined the house and found a powerful geopathogenic zone there.

According to local psychic Victoria, a young family with a child once lived in one of the apartments of Yakhimovich's house. The head of the family died from poisoning with household gas, and his wife and little daughter soon died of a serious illness. It is their phantoms that bother the neighbors.

In the very center of Saratov, at the corner of Gorky and Gogol Streets, an unfinished building rises. In 2004, the local Mormon community tried to build a church here. But under pressure from the public and religious organizations, the construction stopped. However, they say that the place itself is "bad": before the revolution there was a nunnery, where girls who became pregnant outside of marriage were sent.

The abbess invited the midwife, who saved the novices from unwanted pregnancy. Psychic Victoria claims to hear female screams and crying of unborn children in this place. And at the nearest intersection, accidents happen every now and then.

On the outskirts of the village of Yubileiny (a suburb of Saratov) there is Monakhov's Pond. Once upon a time there was a monastery on its bank. If a nun happened to sin and give birth to a baby, then a newborn was drowned in a pond to cover the offense … Now, in the area of the pond, you can see the ghosts of murdered babies. At least that's what the locals say.

Phantom in blue

A mysterious lady in blue lives in the building of the Barnaul City Council. They say that she was once walled up alive. Local administration officials periodically meet a woman dressed in a blue dress in the corridors of the building. At the same time, eyewitnesses feel the grave cold, and their skin becomes covered with goose bumps.

They say that at the beginning of the 19th century, the residence of the then district chief was located in the building of the Duma. At one of the balls, his wife allegedly risked openly, in front of her husband, to flirt with one of the mining engineers. The husband fell into a rage and, without even waiting for the end of the festival, dragged the frivolous lady into the basement. And there he seemed to have ordered the faithful servants to immure her alive in the wall! Since then, for two centuries, the ghost of a woman in blue has appeared in and around the building. And even utility workers are afraid to look into the basement once again.

Another unfortunate resident of Barnaul, according to legend, is walled up in the foundation of the building of the Altai Regional Clinical Children's Hospital on Gushchina Street. True, the ghost, which was repeatedly recorded by surveillance cameras, appears only in the form of an incorporeal white spot.

Also, medical staff sometimes hear muffled sighs coming from nowhere. And in the evenings in the empty corridors one can hear the sound of invisible ladies' heels …
