Often, residents of high-rise buildings are faced with strange sounds that come from above. Many people complain that neighbors move furniture or walk loudly in the middle of the night, but after a while it turns out that the neighbors have nothing to do with it.

Moreover, sounds are sometimes heard when there is no one in the next apartment. An amazing story on this topic was told by Valery Grigoryan, an employee of the research institute, candidate of technical sciences, and just a fan of the study of anomalous phenomena.

It all started when Valery Grigoryan and his family moved into a new apartment. Every evening, at the same time, a creak was heard upstairs, as if someone was moving the sofa. At first, this somehow didn’t irritate anyone, and what was any surprise if there were jokes about sound insulation in Soviet panels. Once, having talked with a neighbor, Grigoryan learned that no one lived in the apartment above.

Valery Grigoryan became interested in this. From work, he brought home a device that picked up signals in the ultrasonic range. In those moments when noise appeared from the neighboring apartment, the device persistently emitted a triple signal, that is, there were still sounds that the human ear did not perceive. By the way, Grigoryan noticed another strange pattern: when the time was officially changed (from summer to winter, and vice versa), the noise was heard strictly according to the “old” countdown. It is unlikely that this was someone's joke, but Valery Grigoryan could not figure out the phenomenon.

Several interesting stories about noise coming from the ceiling appeared on one of the forums. People from different cities wrote about their own observations of strange sounds.

“I moved into a 16-story panel in 1980. Every evening, in the apartment above, someone drilled something. Once the residents of the entrance decided to deal with this mess. But it turned out that the apartment above was empty."

“My brother was once complained by neighbors that he rolls iron balls on the floor at night. It got to the point that the district police officer was summoned."

“It was like that in our hostel. I complained to the neighbors that they roll bottles on the floor at night. They denied and complained about their upper neighbors that they were rolling the bottles. Some kind of insoluble mystery of the universe."

“Ten years ago I worked at the editorial office of a newspaper. An elderly woman constantly wrote to us and complained that the neighbors on top were tortured - they move furniture every night. My colleagues and I laughed and made a mark on her envelope "db" - insane. Now I read the messages on the forum and realized that my grandmother was not lying."

Assumptions

On the same forum, registered users have shared their suggestions.

“Most likely, these are brownies. In short, a poltergeist, the secret of which has not been studied. And all sounds are a light version of a poltergeist manifestation."

“And I think that this is some kind of psychotropic weapon, the military is experimenting with ordinary people. All these sounds appear in the irradiated brain, in other words, this noise appears."

“Otherworlds, along the ceilings and walls there are invisible boundaries between our and the parallel world. And in that world there can be a lot of noisy rubbish."
