- Seeds of Victoria Regia, different years, from different places, are stored in the refrigerator during the off-season, and I germinate them in the aquarium at home, - Sergey Glazinov shared. - There has never been such that they did not rise. Not a single seed has sprung up this year! I really thought that I myself did something wrong. I called to Sukhumi, to the local botanical garden. And my old acquaintance, the owner of the Sukhumi Botanical Garden, Evdokia Lakoba, also disappointed me - she, too, for many years, for the first time did not ascend Victoria Regia. The water lily almost did not grow in the botanical garden of St. Petersburg. We phoned the researchers of this garden, everyone there is in shock - from dozens of seeds three plants have sprung up.
According to Sergei Glazinov, trying to germinate a unique plant - a water lily, the leaves of which reach 2.5 meters in diameter, on the advice of friends in holy water. But even in it, three seeds just hatched and died.
“Biologists believe that this is a reaction of a unique plant to changes taking place on Earth,” says Sergei Glazinov. - Something bad is happening to our planet. Plants are always the first to react to these changes.
