On the morning of January 14, NG correspondents received information that an egg with a dinosaur embryo was found in the village of Baganaly! Having laughed at the "duck", we, nevertheless, found out the details of the case and did not regret it at all.
First of all, the question "Have you found a dinosaur there?" puzzled the veterinary department of the akimat of the Auliekol region and the local veterinary clinic. We were patiently listened to and tactfully answered that no, they had not heard or found anything like that. Then we contacted the akimat of the Kazanbass rural district, which includes the village of Baganaly. The question of an egg with a dinosaur surprised the employees, but the chief specialist of the akimat, Marzhankul BRAKHMETOVA, asked them not to hang up and called the village.
“Yes, they found something in high school,” the woman confirmed after a couple of minutes.
“A week ago, the fireman of our school found a strange cocoon in a pile of coal, an employee began to touch it with a shovel and the cocoon opened up, outside there was something soft shiny gray, 20 centimeters long,” the director of the Baganalinsky secondary school Kairat KAYDAULOV told NG. - The temperature outside at that moment was -30 degrees and for 40 minutes outside the shell this something did not freeze. As a result, the fireman took the remains of the cocoon along with the contents to his home.
We went to Baganaly together with Andrey ANDRYUSHCHENKO, a researcher of the nature department of the regional history and local history museum.
The house of Gennady Kuznetsov, the fireman of the school, who found a strange object, turned out to be cramped - the police, the director of the educational institution and employees of the district akimat occupied all the rooms. They all looked at the "inhabitant" of the egg, which most of all resembled a dead leech, black with coal dust. Or finned sausage. In general, it did not look like a dinosaur at all. Nearby in the bag lay scraps of shell, the surface of the color of the polyurethane foam gleaming in the light.

- The cocoon was found at about 16 o'clock in the afternoon, on January 7, on Christmas, at that moment I was chiseling coal in the school's stoker, when suddenly the scrap fell into a kind of void, - the stoker Kuznetsov told us. - I began to clear the coal with a shovel and came across an oblong cocoon, the size of it was like a ball for American football. As soon as I touched the surface, the shovel stuck to the cocoon. I began to pull the tool towards me, the shell began to move and broke, this thing moved inside, it was white until it was covered with coal. I was wondering what it was, so I took the creature to my home, because the dogs could take it away, and at least it could be sent somewhere to the institute for study. All this time I kept the remains in the pantry and before that I washed them with water, there is no smell from the creature.
The coal in which the cocoon was found was unloaded at the school building in May 2015, and it was mined in Ekibastuz.
The organic fragment is rather soft and no longer shows signs of life
“This is a thing of unambiguous animal origin, traces of the circulatory system are visible here, but the fact that this is a separate animal cannot be said without a detailed preparation,” said researcher Andrei Andryushchenko after examining the strange object. - We need a good laboratory, something like the laboratory of the veterinary faculty of the agricultural institute, that's where we need to send. In its current form, the find could be anything, for example, part of an animal's intestine.
The destroyed cocoon is a scraps of organic matter, also densely covered with coal dust. However, it can be seen that they were originally the color of polyurethane foam. According to Kuznetsov, the original form was in the form of a rugby ball

While the police were questioning Gennady Kuznetsov about the details of the discovery and trying to make us remove the pictures from the camera for some unknown reason, representatives of the SES appeared in the house. They disinfected the premises and placed organic matter in a sterile box.

“Now he really looks like a gut, but he was alive, my daughter saw in photographs on the Internet how he was given a chip and he swallowed it,” said paramedic Alfina LYGINA, covering the creature in the drum.
“A week has passed since its discovery, but it was necessary to study it right away,” noted the school's nurse Alexandra Syutkin.
- And I see something like this for the first time, although I have been working since 1978, - the local veterinarian Galina MASLYAK threw up her hands.
How long it will take for laboratory studies of the find is not known. Most of the data we received was taken from the words of witnesses. Based on this information, Andrei Andryushchenko, a researcher of the local history museum, summed up:
- In the mass of coal there was a cavity in which a cocoon or capsule was located. When the coal was smashed with a crowbar, the cavity was pierced and when the stoker began to stir with a shovel, the wet capsule stuck to it due to frost. After the rupture of the shell, a certain moving living creature and liquid was found inside. It can be assumed that the liquid contained a substance that does not freeze in the cold. For example, glycerin. As the object was watered with water, the antifreeze was removed and, eventually, everything froze. What have we seen? First, everything is mixed with coal dust, which makes it extremely difficult to identify the find. We did not dare to open an autopsy on the spot and handed this case over to the SES, although this should have been done much earlier, and not after a week. Thus, we observed some kind of tissue of organic origin - what was supposedly a cocoon. Being,or it would be more correct to say a sample, since I did not find any signs of a creature during the examination - it resembles a part of the intestine. It is impossible to say with certainty whether this is a separate creature or a part of an animal - on the spot, let's wait for the results of research.
