In the arid west of Madagascar, there is the Bemaraha National Park, best known for the floating Tsingy cliffs, quaint limestone formations that can rise up to 40 meters and form a unique landscape with deep cracks, towers and sculptures.
The tsings of Bemarach have been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the unique “floating” rocks resulting from vertical and horizontal erosion, old graves have been found in numerous caves in these rock formations.

Visitors move along bridges, stairs and a wide network of hiking trails. Due to the sharp limestone, sturdy shoes and long trousers are recommended. Many rare plants such as wild grapes, pachypodium and milkweed grow on limestone peaks.
You certainly won't dare to walk barefoot along such peaks. And the place really fascinates with its beauty.
