The Second World War ended more than 70 years ago. This event not only redrew the world map and established a new order, sending about 50 million people to the next world. This war has shown that even in our enlightened time, a terrifying ideology can easily appear on Earth, and it will have followers who are ready to kill millions of people for its implementation.

However, followers are only half the battle. Without proper preparation, so to speak, a material and scientific base, it is impossible to implement such "projects". The phenomenon of Nazi Germany is very rare, if not unique. It is still not clear how a country that lost the war no more than 15 years ago, paid huge indemnities and remained with a ruined economy, was able to conquer all of Europe in the shortest possible time and spread its state program so deeply that the echoes of fascism are still heard here then there in our seemingly civilized world for a long time?

The German economy has recovered surprisingly quickly after all the shocks of the early to mid-twenties of the last century. But the economy alone is not enough for the expansion that the National Socialists carried out. Something else was needed. And this "something" was not just among the Germans; in any area it exceeded in its level the achievements of any country on our planet. Even a cursory analysis of the scientific results of Nazi Germany in the 30s of the last century opens up before us such a huge layer of knowledge that one involuntarily wonders - could the Germans independently discover and invent all this?

Science in the Third Reich developed at a truly fantastic speed. There were almost two dozen Nobel laureates alone in the "interwar" period in Germany. The Germans achieved colossal successes in chemistry and physics. Firms Bayer and AEG quickly found contact with the new government and sponsored many different projects. So, for example, the first plastic polymers were made precisely in Germany, where the first synthetic fibers (nylon, perlon, viscose, etc.) were obtained. The Germans were the first to come up with color photographic printing and film.

The development of chemistry always leads to significant advances in pharmacology. The first non-penicillin antibiotics were made in Germany; in addition, a huge number of experimental drugs have been developed, ranging from psychotropic to stimulant.

The electronics of the Germans were also excellent. Radar stations, invention of the principles of operation of a field-effect transistor, the first mass introduction of television in world practice. As for the field of information processing, it is enough to recall Konrad Zuse and his brainchild Z3 - the first freely programmable computer, created in 1941. This device outstripped the American M1 and Eniak, both in time of creation and in complexity.

And so on and so forth. It's not worth talking about von Braun's jet engines and rockets - these facts are generally known. Without these developments, humanity would still be marking time on its planet and flying on piston planes.

Where did such a number of inventions and discoveries come from? Why was it during this period and in Germany that such a technological breakthrough was observed, which did not exist either before or after these events in any country in the world?

Apologists for National Socialism attribute all the merit to the ideologists of the then political system: Alfred Rosenberg and Bernhard Rust. The first came up with the idea of "Aryan science", the second, being the minister of education, turned it into life. However, this version has several flaws. For example, it has long been known that it is impossible to make discoveries on the instructions of the party, just as it is impossible to do so that inspiration to visit the creator on instructions from “above”. In addition, the persecution of non-Aryan scientists had more than tragic consequences for Germany: most of the scientists who left Germany subsequently participated in the Manhattan Project and allowed the United States to create nuclear weapons in the shortest possible time.

There are several alternative points of view regarding both the acquisition by German scientists of this knowledge that was truly ahead of its time, and the fact that at the present time not all secrets from the science of the Third Reich are revealed to ordinary citizens.

One of them says that the expeditions undertaken by German occultists, in particular, to Tibet, brought unexpected results in the form of that very knowledge. It is not for nothing that after this expedition the warmest relations were established between the governments of Tibet and Germany, and the Germans who came from Tibet were greeted as national heroes.

Few people know that the Germans took such expeditions not only to Tibet. Very specific research and non-standard approaches were, in general, peculiar to people of that time. One of such mysterious scientific studies is the study of Antarctica, carried out on a very serious scale for that time. The total area of the investigated territories exceeded several hundred thousand square kilometers, and the results of the expedition, in a strange way, were not published anywhere and were not presented to the general public. The leader of the expedition, Captain Reacher, never mentioned its details in his writings or memoirs, and always spoke extremely negatively about its results in public. Meanwhile, the research of this expedition included not only Antarctica, but also some parts of the Atlantic Ocean.

The fate of the main ship on which the expedition was carried out and its crew are also hazy and give rise to much speculation. According to official data, 5 years after the expedition, the ship was attacked by the British and "many of the crew were killed." Moreover, an amazing fact is that the members of the expedition died!

What did a very experienced and middle-aged polar explorer find? Why did all the people or documents related to her disappear or die in a strange way? Reacher's findings may have been comparable in importance to the results of the Manhattan Project. Or maybe the humble captain found, if not Atlantis, then some ancient and powerful artifacts near the South Pole? Anything can be …
