The Temple of the Sun (Coricancha) was built by the Incas in 1200, and in 1650 it was destroyed by the Spanish conquerors, and on the ruins of the Temple of the Sun they built the monastery of Santo Domingo. In the middle of the 20th century, there was a strong earthquake, which damaged the monastery and exposed the ruins of the ham of the Sun.
These stone ruins from a monolithic block have stood for 8 centuries and have preserved a perfectly flat surface. According to researchers, this is a filigree work that can hardly be repeated (even with the help of the latest technologies).
