Russian scientists are engaged in research, the ultimate result of which may be the invention of mechanisms for controlling human opinion. But this is in the distant future. In the meantime, the project allows you to assess the level of a person's creativity.
Specialists of the Department of Automation, Control and Mechatronics, existing at the Saratov Technical State University named after Gagarin, focused on the study of cognitive noise - the brain process that allows consciousness to switch between tasks. We can say that cognitive noise creates a certain element of spontaneity in people's behavior. That very spontaneity, without which, for example, creativity is unthinkable.
The hypothesis of the existence of cognitive noise has been presented for a long time, but Saratov scientists were the first to learn how to measure this noise.
The methodology created by the Saratov people makes it possible to assess the personal qualities of people by analyzing their propensity to one or another type of activity.
In general, an extremely promising development, which, by the way, has already become interested in the Spanish police - they are going to analyze the cognitive noise of candidates for law enforcement.
However, the global goal of the project is the development of systems that will allow controlling mechanisms using exclusively the power of thought. And, conversely, the creation of systems that control human thoughts.
