One of the most interesting and unusual mysteries of Ireland is the so-called "jumping church" in the village of Milokstown.
Prada, only ruins remained from the former religious building, and now a single fragment of the wall rises here, which is reverently called "the jumping wall". It is argued that from the moment of its construction, the church mystically moved to the side by a whole meter, and together with its foundation.
This legend dates back to 1715, when local priests were surprised to document the abnormal behavior of the building. But, despite such inexplicable paranormalism, the mysterious place for some reason never inspired fear in anyone. On the contrary, the strange temple has always attracted believers and even the simply curious, and even today many travelers come here to look at the "jumping wall". The ruins of the church are considered an ideal place for meditation and contemplation of the sublime. On the wall, by the way, there is a plate that briefly tells the story of the outlandish structure. Many Irish people firmly believe that the building moved either by itself or under the influence of some supernatural factors.
One of the legends says that once upon a time a disgusting man was buried here, whose actions simply could not be described. When, after a while, a church was built at the burial site of this immoral individual, the religious building, apparently feeling great disgust at the grave of the villain, moved to the side so as not to come into contact with the defiled ground. The remains were in plain sight, and the villagers were forced to reburial them elsewhere, away from human eyes.
According to another myth, in the fall of 1715 an unprecedented storm began here, and powerful gusts of wind moved the church slightly to the east. Skeptical minds may also suggest that it was the 18th century hoaxers who allegedly moved the building to pass it off as a religious miracle. However, such a hypothesis does not inspire much confidence. Even today, such a task would require a qualified team of workers with modern and sophisticated special equipment, which would not remain a secret for everyone else.
In addition, the theory is advanced that a landslide occurred in Milokstown more than three centuries ago, which led to such an amazing result.

Whatever the explanation for this phenomenon - natural, paranormal, or maybe both - the natural beauty of the area and the spiritual history of the local society make this story worth thinking and attractive to many curious. Tourists are constantly trying to unravel the mystery of the "jumping church", from which only the "jumping wall" remains, but all such attempts end in failure, as, for example, the mystery of the wandering graves has not yet been solved. Perhaps it's for the best …
