Dinosaur eggs have been found in the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina. As reported by Telam, their age is 70 million years.

Remains of dinosaur embryos have been preserved inside the eggs. According to the head of the department for the protection of cultural heritage of Neuquena Claudia Della Negra, this find is of great importance for scientists. “They are fully examining the embryos and have already been able to analyze the embryonic skin and teeth,” she said. According to her, the eggs have survived to our times in good condition due to the fact that the area where they were found was once a swamp, which was then buried under volcanic deposits.

The dinosaur nest was accidentally found by a local shepherd near the village of Aguada San Roque a few years ago, but scientists reported the find only now. As noted by the researchers, this is not the first such discovery in the province. In 1997, scientists also managed to find the remains of unhatched ancient reptiles.

As Delia Negra noted, dinosaur nests are regularly found in the area where the eggs were found, as well as the remains of the animals that ravaged them. She expressed the hope that in this place it will be possible to create a paleontological park, which will preserve this area for future generations. In addition, according to Delhi Negra, the park could become a popular tourist attraction and create new jobs in Aguada San Roque.
