It turns out that the brick walls of the gallery stand without a foundation, there is no waterproofing either, as a result of which they have become completely unusable (you can practically pull out every brick with your hands).

Inserted dungeons near Liverpool
An extensive network of tunnels dug 200 years ago pierces the soil under the streets of Liverpool. The purpose of these dungeons remains a mystery.
On a beautiful summer day in 2001, a small team of enthusiastic explorers literally broke into a tunnel they believed was in the Paddington quarter of Edge Hill.
Using a pickaxe, they cut a small hole in the ceiling of what was thought to be an old basement, but in fact turned out to be the top level of one of the underground tunnel systems.
Over the past 15 years, a team of volunteers who excavated twice a week have removed over 120 carts of garbage. They discovered an abandoned basement system as well as - in several cases - tiered tunnel systems. In some of them, steps have been found that lead even deeper into the underground voids.
“The 10-foot (3.0 m) rod was lowered first. They didn't reach the bottom. Then they lowered the 15-foot (4.6 m) rod and again did not reach the bottom,”he says. And only a 20-foot (6.0 m) rod hit the hard floor at a depth of 19 feet (5.8 m).

Having started digging a foundation pit for a new 38-storey business center, the workers stumbled upon the ruins of an early Roman building, in which a fresco was miraculously preserved. Museum experts have dated it to around 60 AD, making it one of the oldest Roman frescoes found in London. And besides, one of the largest - almost three by two meters.
Entire streets were hidden underground - half-timbered houses, shops, fences and courtyards. This complex, the oldest parts of which date back to the 60s of our era, has been preserved so well that archaeologists instantly dubbed it "northern Pompeii". Excavations have unearthed over 14,000 items, including coins, amulets, pewter dishes, ceramic lamps, 250 leather boots and sandals and over 900 boxes of pottery.
The finds include nearly four hundred scribbled wooden tablets, and some still bear letters, legal agreements, and financial documents.

200-year-old pub with brandy bottles dug up in England
About 20 bottles of brandy were found at the site of the future construction, three or four of them were intact.
