UK NHS staff member Steve Sutton has written and self-published twenty novels over the past four years - that's five books a year! The family and friends of the sixty-year-old nurse are amazed at how he manages to combine the grueling work in the hospital with such creative endeavor. The man in response to this declares that in fact it is not he who writes the novels, but … the ghost of an unknown woman.

For the first time, Sutton met a mysterious guest from the other world in February 2012. The Briton stayed overnight with a friend, and he was given a large bedroom on the second floor of the house. Lying in bed before going to bed, Steve suddenly noticed in the opposite corner of the room a young woman who looked unnaturally pale and did not seem to fit into the reality around her. The nurse immediately realized that a ghost had appeared to him, and dared to speak to the phantom.

Sutton asked the ephemeral lady if she lived in this house. The ghostly stranger answered in the negative and said that she had come to Steve in order to ask him for a favor. It turned out that the spirit belonged to a certain late Sarah Ruth Scott. She wanted Steve to help her write books. The woman always wanted to become a writer, but did not have time to fulfill this dream during her lifetime, having died at a young age. She did not name the date and cause of her death to her new friend.

The mystical birth of a new British writer

Waking up the next day, the Briton considered it all a dream. Nevertheless, the "dream" impressed him very much, and he even sketched a portrait of the guests on the album sheet. For several weeks Steve did not stop thinking about the woman and one fine evening he picked up a notebook with a pen, after which he began to write out the text in an amazing way, although he never had the talent for this. Sutton used words unfamiliar to him, described things about which he had no idea, and in general showed literacy and a creative talent previously incomprehensible to him.

The nurse says: “I don't write these books, Sarah writes them by my hand. Many people think I’m crazy, but I’m not. I could never have composed a single sentence of these novels. In school and college, English was my least favorite subject, and the teachers always gave me the lowest grades on it."

The ghost of Sarah Ruth Scott enjoys writing mystical works and gothic novels, which is probably not surprising for such an unusual author. In this she, according to Steve himself and other readers, has a real talent. All of Sutton's books responsibly publish under the name of a woman he never knew alive. Periodically there are connoisseurs of the supernatural who, sincerely believing in the veracity of the nurse's words, buy from him these incredibly beautiful and interestingly written works.
