Scientists, concerned about the problem of global warming on Earth, have proposed a completely radical method to save the planet from "overheating" and probable death. "What if you take yes and move the Earth to a colder place?" - thought the scientists. The idea seemed to them not so crazy. After analyzing all the data at the disposal of modern science, NASA experts came to the conclusion that for the implementation of this project only a few comets would be required, which must be “pulled” to the Earth and organized a “light” collision with our planet.

As a result of the cometary attack, the Earth will "roll back" like a soccer ball to a cooler place in the solar system.

The development of the plan was undertaken by scientists and engineers of a subsidiary group of NASA, and American astronomers, who argue that if successful, the Earth will prolong its existence for no more, no less, but for six billion years - which is a widow more than the existing estimates of specialists.

"There is nothing weird about this technology," says Dr. Greg Laughlin, a researcher at the NASA subsidiary Ames Science Center in California. - It includes the same methods that are currently proposed for changing the trajectory of asteroids approaching the Earth. In this case, we will not find a more suitable “force” capable of moving the Earth. All that is required of us is to carefully plan the operation and calculate all possible options.”

The draft plan, proposed by Dr. Laughlin and his collaborators Don Korikanski and Fred Adams, provides for the possibility of changing the trajectory of a comet or asteroid in such a way that a celestial body “flew” as close as possible to the Earth and “transferred” part of its gravitational energy. Due to this, the orbital speed of the Earth will increase slightly and the planet will “move away” from the Sun.

In addition, in the same way, engineers intend to “direct” several comets to Jupiter and Saturn, as a result of which a process of polarity reversal will occur and the comet will “pick up” a part of the energy of these giant planets. Later, the comet will “ricochet” off to the Earth and the process of “pushing” it can be repeated.

From a cost standpoint, this plan looks like an ideal solution to the problem of global warming: over the next billion years, the Sun will “warm up” to such an extent that its energy can literally “fry” the Earth's biosphere.
