Residents of Chelyabinsk are worried about strange rituals taking place on the banks of the Miass River: groups of people with torches and candles gather at the same place, perform rituals, and then disappear rapidly. Moreover, such events take place almost every weekend. Eyewitnesses suggested that they might be Satanists, and went to the police.

Svetlana and Sergey Andreevs first noticed the unusual activity on the banks of the Miass River on the evening of March 21: an elderly man and woman seemed to be cleaning - they were clearing the site on the river bank, and in the morning of the next day - on Sunday - 6 more people joined them. Moreover, there was a little boy among them.
“We didn't even know who and what it was. It was March 21st. How did they attract attention? At 6 o'clock it is still dark, my children get up early, and so I went into the kitchen, I just saw the lights outside the window, a lot of lights, I looked closely - people, it seemed to me, with torches, read something from a book,”Svetlana recalls.
The next time the couple decided to use the camera. The video was filmed, looking out the window: the ceremonies were carried out on the bank opposite the Andreevs' house.
An independent investigation of the couple led nowhere. The group with candles disappeared every morning as unexpectedly as they appeared. But the file with the recording was shown to the chairman of the committee of religious communities, Ilya Anosov.
He suggested that the video is about budding Satanists. The police also got involved. The Anti-Terrorism Department has begun a pre-investigation check. Every day a patrol arrives at the scene, assured the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chelyabinsk region, Angelica Chirkova.

Later, another version of what is happening in the video appeared on the Internet. The ritual, users suggest, is the intrigues of Old Believer businessmen. There is a lot of information on the Web about how, under the auspices of the educational center, merchants who speculate on the ideas of spirituality conduct paid rituals.

One of these "entrepreneurs" settled in the city of Miass, Chelyabinsk region. A Muscovite named Voyeslav offers "cleansing" to women who have had an abortion, prayers for the dead who have not been celebrated in church, or simply "spiritual communication" with a "guru". Prices for services are from one to three thousand rubles. For "cleansing" they ask to bring candles, milk, rye with you - depending on the situation.
“Voeslav conducts everything. He fixes the date, and we organize these events,”says Olga Shlesinger, a representative of Voeslav.
It is noteworthy that the activity of sectarian associations and other occult communities last year in the Chelyabinsk region fell on about the same time. In May 2014, residents of the Urals began to find the bodies of killed cats and dogs. Then the Satanists were also called the perpetrators of these atrocities.
