At the World Economic Forum in Davos, scientists asked for funds to develop vaccines against the MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) and Nip viruses that can create an epidemic and destroy humanity.
The researchers reported that they were able to develop a plan to combat the epidemic of dangerous diseases. Scientists also said they are ready to create an antidote for the Nipa and Mers viruses, as well as the virus that causes Lasse fever. By the way, the death rate from this disease reaches 50%.
I must say that Lasse fever affects the nervous and cardiovascular systems, as a result of which blockages and blood clots form in the body.
In turn, the Mers virus was discovered by British scientists in 2012. To date, 666 people have died as a result of this virus.
In addition, the researchers mentioned that the Nipa virus is of particular concern to them. It unites a whole family of disease-causing agents that cause serious illness. Scientists also emphasized that this virus is present in encephalitis or respiratory diseases.
It is known that the first outbreaks of the virus, which affects the brain and causes respiratory diseases, were recorded in South Asia in 1999, but so far humanity has not come up with an effective treatment for these ailments.
It is also worth saying that earlier scientists were allocated $ 460 million to fight the most dangerous diseases, however, to create a vaccine, experts ask for another $ 500 million.
