A resident of Japan received a million yen from a stranger and now does not know how to return it to her. This was reported by the information portal Sora 24.
The incident took place in the city of Hokota, Ibaraki prefecture. An unnamed 28-year-old Japanese man was home alone and heard the call. He opened the door and saw on the threshold an unfamiliar old woman with glasses with thick lenses. “Are you her son? Your mother said that she would come home by five o'clock in the evening, when she comes, tell her this,”the woman ordered, handed the man two envelopes and left in the car.
The Japanese really lived with his mother and decided that it was her friend. However, when she returned home, it turned out that she was not expecting anyone. Moreover, none of her relatives or friends fell under the description of the stranger. When they opened one of the envelopes, they found 40 thousand yen (about 24.3 thousand rubles) in it. The second was a million yen (about 606.5 thousand rubles).
The embarrassed Japanese gave the money to the police, who are to find out who the mysterious generous woman was. They doubt that she had any criminal intent, most likely she just messed up at home.
