Golden mound

Remains of a gigantic mound in the shape of a turtle shell. According to the 19th century archaeologist Demyan Kareishi, the mound had a diameter of over 90 meters and a height of at least 30. Walls of megalithic stones in three or four rows, folded according to the principle of polygonal masonry, have survived to this day.

A lot of stone boxes can be found in the area of the current Sevastopol bypass, on the Mekenzi farm. Perhaps the largest of those on the territory of the peninsula that have survived to this day due to their remoteness from the actively developing areas of the peninsula.

Cave city Tepe-Kermen

Translated from Tatar - "hill-fortress". The cave city consists of several tiers of cave chambers, of which there are more than 230 on Tepe-Kermen. Until now, historians cannot understand how there was a settlement on the top of the mountain, where there is not a single source of water. However, there are no remnants of medieval castles with rough stonework here. But traces of the megalithic compound level are visible, which was destroyed, and its remains can be found at the foot of the mountain.

Golden well

An amazing object located at the foot of the cave city of Chufut-Kale, called "Tik-Kuyu" or "Golden Well". It is a complex structure, carved into the rock and consisting of a corridor 120 meters long, connected at an angle with a spiral shaft that goes to a depth of 45 meters. Officially, this is the well of the medieval Kyrk-Ora. At the same time, there is an opinion about its siege purpose. An alternative version connects the construction of the structure with a bomb shelter, given the presence of a branch, similar to the sleeves of modern bunkers designed to damp the shock wave.

Cromlech on Fiolent

An ancient structure in the form of a circle of even rectangular slabs tightly fitted to each other, in the center of which there is a stone box. It is located in the area of the ancient Greek chora (agricultural area of Chersonesos), behind the ruins of a former military unit.

Menhir Belyansky (Deep Yar)

The tallest menhir in Crimea, its height reaches four meters. According to the theory of the engineer of the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory, Alexander Lagutin, the Bakhchisarai menhir in combination with the rock mass opposite forms an ancient astrophysical observatory. The rays of the rising sun fall on the menhir through a window hollowed out in the rock twice a year. This ray fixes the direction west-east, and, probably, served to determine the days of the summer and winter solstices.

Dolmens of the Storm

Discovered in 2012 by the Conspiracy Theory expedition, megalithic structures are located not far from the sunken cave city, opposite the Shtormovoe village of the Saki region at a depth of 12 to 14 meters. Some structures consist of several slabs and columns covered with massive covers and fall under the classical concept of a dolmen ("stone table"). Others are rooms carved into the rocks. The objects have yet to be investigated and given a more accurate assessment.
