Russia is the most dangerous and aggressive nuclear superpower in the modern world. Of course, this means that she should be mentioned in Bible prophecy. If you know its ancient biblical name, predictions concerning this people can be found in the Old and New Testaments.
In the 8th verse of the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel it speaks about “the last years” - these are the ones we are living now. This chapter contains the world-shaking news about the powerful Russian empire and its "prince", inspiring universal fear.
“And the word of the Lord came to me: Son of man! Turn your face to Gog in the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him”(Ezekiel 38: 1-2).
"Son of man", the messenger of God from the human race, recognizes this prince. Without recognizing the prince, the messenger of God cannot speak against him.
This passage speaks of two specific individuals. The Lord calls the title of the prince so that we can recognize him. However, even so, the Lord remains to reveal his face in the last years. It is also possible to recognize the "son of man" who will bring the word of God about the prince. In the future, the Lord will reveal his face and more. In addition, the son of man knows the names that Gog and Magog bear in the last years that have now come - otherwise he would not have been able to recognize them.
The Guardian of God especially warns the peoples of Israel about the Russian and Chinese threat, and the coming end of the events taking place among these peoples. The Lord especially warns the three peoples of Israel - America, the British peoples and the Jewish state in the Middle East (our free book "The United States and Britain in the Prophecies" examines in detail which of the modern nations are Israelis, based on history and the Bible. Verses 2 and 3 begin to come true before the Great Tribulation, the Lord's Day and the Second Coming of Christ.
Most scholars agree that "Gog" means Russia, and "the land of Magog" includes China. The offspring of Meshech and Tubal have been close to each other throughout history. In Assyrian and Greek records Meshech appears under the names "Musku", "Muski" or "Mushki" - all these names are associated with the Russian pronunciation of the word "Moscow", which you can learn from the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia. What about Tubala? On the eastern slopes of the Ural Mountains lies the city of Tobolsk, named after the Tobol River, a derivative of Fuval. Siberia was once ruled by Russian provincial authorities from Tobolsk, and it was considered the Asian capital of Russia.

In the second verse of the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel there is also a name for all Russian peoples. There is controversy as to how the Hebrew word "rosh" used in this verse should be translated. In the King James Bible, it is used as the adjective "supreme." However, in the correct interpretation (Moffatt, NPBKI and others), this word is used not as an adjective, but as a noun: Rosh. Thus, this verse should be read like this: "Prince of Rosha, Meshech and Tubal."
Rosh is the ancient name for Russia, which was once called Rus. This is recognized by many encyclopedias and commentaries (such as the Commentary of Jamieson, Fossett and Brown), so who is this "prince" of Russia, Moscow and Tobolsk? The use of all three of these names indicates that he is the autocratic ruler of all the peoples of Russia, from west to east. The reference to Moscow and Tobolsk allows us to realize how large the land belonging to Russia is in recent years.
These vast expanses indicate the likelihood that the prince will conquer the rest of the peoples of the former Soviet Union.
If one examines these writings in the light of current events, which indicate Moscow's predatory intentions, it becomes clear that Russian President Vladimir Putin may well be Prince of Rosh. We are convinced that this is the case.
Ezekiel conveys God's demand to “speak prophecy against him,” meaning a single person. This verse is coming true this very moment! Someone like Ezekiel must appear in our day to speak this message.
Host of God
Around AD 90, the Apostle John wrote down a wonderful prophecy: “The number of the cavalry army was two ten thousand; and I heard his number”(Revelation 9:16). This means a host of 200 million people! This number exceeds the number of people living around the world at the time of the prophecy recording. This is a prophecy about the end times, which will undoubtedly come true soon.
The Bible gives us important details about this greatest army assembled on earth. She talks about from which peoples his soldiers will be recruited. It indicates that this army will include the forces of several Asian peoples. She calls this Asiatic alliance "kings from the rising of the sun" (Revelation 16:12).
I believe that the second verse 38 of the book of Ezekiel is dedicated to the prince, who led an army of two hundred million, which will include China and other peoples. However, Russia and China will become the key nations.
In the Bible, the Lord tells us about the great influence that a prince has in the world. He possesses fame and instills fear in everyone else.
Only Russia has enough oil to support such a huge army.
Details of this army are revealed in such passages as Revelation 9: 13-21; Revelation 16; Daniel 11 Jeremiah 50 and Joel 2. In the 11th verse of the second chapter of the book of the prophet Joel, this two hundred millionth Asiatic horde is called "the army of God." This means that in the midst of the ongoing war, the Lord is carrying out his own plan.
The Lord uses this colossal Asian horde, pitting him against the army of Europe, united under the leadership of Germany, which will also participate in the upcoming events. It will destroy Europe, but not the backbone of the European army. Both of these armies will meet for an apocalyptic battle, but Christ will draw them to Jerusalem. They will be defeated against Jesus Christ. This will be God's punishment to Europeans for their sins - especially for the cruel treatment of His people of Israel (Revelation 18: 5-6; Jeremiah 50; 29-31).
Current events indicate that this Asian army is already beginning to emerge. This can be seen in Putin's increasingly authoritarian rule and in his address to the rest of Asian states. Over the past decade, Russia has supplied China with an abundance of weapons; it also helped China acquire nuclear weapons. For many years Russia has been China's ally to one degree or another.
However, other states will also participate in these events. The prophecy of Ezekiel testifies that the army led by Russia will include "Persians, Ethiopians and Libyans … Homer with all his troops, the house of Phoharma, from the borders of the north, with all his troops, many nations …" (Ezekiel 38: 5-6). Homer refers to Japan with the most advanced technology and weapons in the world. "Ethiopia" and "Libya" should be translated as "Kush" and "Put". Some representatives of the Kush and Put peoples moved to Africa, but the rest settled in India. The context of this passage suggests that it is referring to modern Indians (and possibly Pakistanis), not Africans.
This is important because India has a population of 1.2 billion and a developed nuclear arsenal. If you unite India and Japan with Russia and China, it becomes clear where the army of 200 million soldiers is recruited from. If you add the rest of the Asian peoples to this, their total population reaches from 3.5 to 4 billion people! In extreme circumstances, such as those described in these end-time prophecies, it is not hard to imagine a war that one in ten or twentieth will go to.
Armageddon's armies
An incredible war between the forces of Europe and Asia will end with the return of Jesus Christ! However, there is something amazing here: even after most of the world's population has been affected by nuclear war and sheer destruction, the survivors will still not want to turn to the Lord! Revelation 11: 15-18 testifies to the fact that with the descent of Christ to earth the states will turn weapons against Him. In their madness, the remnants of the European and Asian armies will unite to fight against the returned Christ.
Revelation 17: 12-14 and Daniel 8:25 predict the destruction of these states. The end of this battle will mark the beginning of a new era of peace and prosperity throughout the Earth!
God's people must warn the world about this terrible future. The Lord commands: “Blow the trumpet in Zion and sound the alarm on My holy mountain; let all the inhabitants of the earth tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, for it is near - the day of darkness and gloom”(Joel 2: 1). This message is "addressed to all the inhabitants of the world," says the Explanatory Bible. The alarm must be sounded! There is no time to waste.
The second verse indicates that this prophecy speaks of Gog and his henchmen, as well as the worst catastrophe in the history of mankind: “a day of darkness and gloom, a cloudy and foggy day: like the morning dawn spreads over the mountains, a people numerous and strong, which has never happened from age and after that there will be no generations of generations."
The third verse reads, "Fire devours before him." What is this fire? Take a look at the rest of the lines: “and behind him is a flame; before him the land is like a garden of Eden, and behind him there will be a desolate steppe, and no one will be saved from it. " Not a blade of grass will be saved. It is clear that a nuclear strike is meant!
Before them lies the Garden of Eden, but they turn it into a bare desert. Can you imagine something like this happening on Earth? One has only to look back and look at the behavior of states around, and you will expect similar events! Take a look at how fast nuclear weapons are spreading! The pagan peoples of Russia, China, North Korea, India and Pakistan are armed with nuclear bombs. Iran will soon have them, most likely in the coming months (we recommend reading our accompanying booklet: “Russia and China in the Prophecies”).
Are we aware of the nuclear nightmare ahead? Only the Lord can save us from the destruction of all human life on the planet!
The sixth verse reads: "All faces will turn pale." This is a dark and woeful time. “The earth will shake before them, the sky will shake; the sun and moon will be darkened, and the stars will lose their light”(verse ten). These lines describe a nuclear winter. People will not see the stars because of the radioactive fallout.
Do you realize how amazing the ability to fulfill these crucial prophecies in today's environment is? The Lord predicted these events through the mouth of His prophet Ezekiel about 2,500 years ago. At that time, no one could have imagined such rapid and extensive destruction. However, these days, nuclear bombs and chemical weapons can easily destroy all life on the planet. The Lord knew about the future development of technology, told about it to Ezekiel and shared with him his understanding of future events.
Envy breeds rebellion
If you look closely at chapters 38 and 39 of the book of Ezekiel, you will notice how many of his prophecies occur after the second coming of Christ. These chapters make it clear that the "kings from the rising of the sun" of recent years will play a role in the second apocalyptic war! The first occurs during the return of Jesus Christ, the second - a few years after his descent.
If you read chapter 38 of the book of Ezekiel, it becomes obvious that after the defeat inflicted by Jesus Christ on the European and Asian armies in the battle for Jerusalem, he will allow the surviving Asian forces to return to their homeland. According to Ezekiel 38: 4, the Lord will "turn" them in the first battle for Jerusalem (however, in the second he will destroy all their armies, as we will see later). Then Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, will gather in Jerusalem his scattered people, the offspring of Israel in the last years. He will begin His world restoration with the purification and cultivation of the surrounding area.
As the years pass, the Asian states will covet the riches that they see in Jerusalem. They will consider it a prosperous and defenseless land, and in a new round of revolt they will decide to conquer it. Thus, they will gather strength for a final attempt to overthrow the authority of Christ over the holy city. The Lord will allow them to come to the Holy Land. But their plan is doomed!
“After many days you will be needed; in the last years you will come to a land delivered from the sword, gathered from many nations, to the mountains of Israel, which were in constant desolation, but now its inhabitants will be returned from the nations, and they will all live in safety”(verse eight). “After many days” (several years later), Gog and his henchmen will begin a new assault on Jerusalem. This will happen after Israel is “delivered from the sword,” and Christ who is sitting in Jerusalem begins to rule over them.
Perhaps the army of Gog carrying out this assault will number fewer soldiers than the previous army of 200 million. However, the population of these Asian states is so large that even after the defeat in the first battle for Jerusalem, they may well quickly make up for the losses and return to the number close to 200 million.
Why did the Lord allow this riot to happen? The reason is obvious
The prophecy continues with the Lord's command to Ezekiel: "utter the prophecy, son of man, and tell Gog: you will go from your place, from the borders of the north, you and many nations are with you, all sitting on horses, a great congregation and a large army" (verses 14-15). Verse 16 gives the reason why the Lord allowed this attack to take place: "and I will bring you to my land so that the nations will recognize me."
How does the Lord use what is happening to force the rebellious nations of the world to acknowledge Himself? He will speak in the only language they know: the language of power. These peoples will learn the truth thanks to the complete victory of the Lord over the rebellious Asia.
The peoples of Israel will also be taught by bitter experience: “And the nations will know that the house of Israel was exiled for its iniquity” (Ezekiel 39:23, also verses 27-28). Israel, too, must know God, being conquered after a nuclear war!
Why is the Lord so angry with Israel - the American and British people?
“And he said to me: Son of man! eat what is in front of you, eat this scroll, and go speak to the house of Israel. Then I opened my mouth, and He gave me this scroll to eat; And he said to me: Son of man! nourish your belly and fill your insides with this scroll that I give you; and I ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. And He said to me: Son of man! arise and go to the house of Israel, and speak to them in my words; for you are not sent to a people with an inarticulate speech and with an incomprehensible language, but to the house of Israel, not to many nations with an inarticulate speech and with an incomprehensible language, which words you would not understand; if I had sent you to them, they would have obeyed you”(Ezekiel 3: 1-6)
What does the Lord say to Israel - especially the American and British peoples? For over 80 days the Lord has been speaking to Israel in recent years. He says that “if I had sent you to them too,” meaning mostly pagan nations speaking in tongues, they would surely listen to His words!
How deeply the Lord condemns the American and British peoples for this grievous disobedience!
We are talking here about the "scroll", which means the "book" from chapter 10 of Revelation (in my booklet "Small Book" it is proved that this is the Message of Malachi, another book that you can read for free). This means that these lines refer to the last period of the existence of the Church of God - the Laodicean age.
The Lord calls this messenger a “prophet” (Ezekiel 2: 5) and “a watchman” (Ezekiel 3:17). Thus, the Lord speaks to His watchman and prophet - the same person - in the last age of His church. I will repeat the words of God again: "if I had sent you to them, they would have obeyed you."
The Lord speaks about a specific messenger from a specific period of the church's existence - the Laodicean era. The Gentiles would surely have listened to the message of this prophet alone!
“But the house of Israel will not listen to you; for they do not want to listen to Me, for the whole house of Israel is with a strong forehead and a hard heart. Behold, I have made your face also strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their forehead. Like a diamond harder than a stone, have I made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, and do not be afraid of their face, for they are a rebellious house”(Ezekiel 3: 7-9).
Why does the Lord allow Vladimir Putin to oppress the peoples of Israel? For our sins (Leviticus 26: 18-19). Our hostility to the Lord prevents our people from hearing His message.
Unlike the Gentiles, the people of Israel have a long history of relationship with the Lord. And all the same, his "strong forehead" and "hard heart" are worse than pagan ones, which is why the words of God do not reach them. It will take nuclear bombs to make them listen!
There is nothing surprising in God's wrath against His chosen people! Israel has been chosen as the righteous model for the whole world. Instead, it has become an unprecedented "rebel house" - especially in recent years. He has become more rebellious than the rest of the world!
Of course, in his message the prophet also repeats what was said in the past church age - the Philadelphia era, led by Herbert W. Armstrong.
The Lord says: “if I sent you” - a person. Who is this man? We need to know this in order to understand the prophecy.
Are you reading the words of this very person at the moment? You can find enough evidence of the new revelation the Lord has given me in your own copy of the Bible!
Who will be buried?
During the Cold War, Nikita Khrushchev, the leader of the Soviet Union, said his famous "We will bury you." However, biblical prophecy testifies that in fact the great army of Russia, China and other peoples will be buried! And this army will be buried in a special place and at a special time, which they did not expect at all.
In the 11th verse of the 39th chapter of the book of Ezekiel, the Lord says: "And it will be on that day: I will give Gog a place for a grave in Israel."
We are talking about the second assault on Jerusalem, several years after the establishment of the power of Christ (it is quite possible to believe that at this time Vladimir Putin will still lead this army).
It is here that the Lord will bury this huge horde! Only every sixth of this huge host will survive and be able to return to their homeland (verse two). The rest will be buried east of the Dead Sea (verse eleven). This will give new meaning to the name "Dead Sea"! And the number of the fallen will be so great that their burial will take seven months (verse twelve)! What an incredible event!
This will be an amazing warning to the rest of the world and the beginning of the millennial reign of Jesus Christ! This will be a lesson that the Lord will never allow humanity to forget. The world will be put to shame by this event, which will allow it to be reborn into the eternal family of God.
The Lord allows this bloody invasion to happen, because only in this way can he force the peoples to recognize themselves! This can be understood from the lines in which He says: And they will know that I am the Lord their God.
In the 16-17 verses of the 14th chapter of the book of the prophet Zechariah it is said that during the Millennium the Lord will teach the whole world. He will lead all nations to Jerusalem, where the annual Feast of Tabernacles will take place. This feast will be celebrated by both the peoples of Israel and the Gentiles throughout the world, and how joyful that time will be! The word of god
The 12th verse of the 2nd chapter of the book of Joel explains in more detail the purpose of these incredible events: "But even now the Lord says: turn to Me with all your heart in fasting, weeping and sobbing." This is God's message to the nations of the world. He wants us to turn to Him. All this is done to convert husbands and wives all over the earth to the Lord. God is love. He will rain mercy and grace on those who turn to Him!
“He is good and merciful, long-suffering and merciful, and regrets the calamity” (verse thirteen). The merciful, good, magnanimous Lord desires that we turn to him from the emptiness and suffering that we have brought upon ourselves. At the present moment, He allows us to go our own way, because we have chosen this path ourselves. “Well,” says the Lord. "Try it, and I will let you see for yourself that you are unable to dominate yourself."
“Blow the trumpet in Zion, make a fast, and declare a solemn assembly” (verse fifteen). These lines command to sound the alarm and announce the prophecy of God to the world! How many similar messages have you heard from other religious organizations? I have not heard them in any corner of the Earth!
In the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel, the Lord calls to prophesy against Russia and her prince in the last years, for it brings about a catastrophe! THE RAPIDLY STRENGTHENING ASIAN STATE WILL BRING THE WORLD IN A TROUBLE LIKE IT HASN'T BEEN BEFORE.
We must watch Vladimir Putin closely. In addition, we should know much more about this powerful prince and his current deeds.
Restoration of the Russian Empire
Back in 2005, the Russian president called the fall of the Soviet empire "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century." Considering tens of millions of Soviet citizens persecuted, arrested and destroyed by the authoritarian system, most of us hold the opposite opinion! Putin not only mourns the fall of the USSR - he is determined to restore it to all the glory of the Russian Empire!
He made his goals clear in August 2008 when Russia invaded the former Soviet republic of Georgia. In our October 2008 Trumpet, I wrote: “The Russian invasion of Georgia in August marks the beginning of a dangerous new era in history. This was the first strike by the rising Asian superpower - and more to come! Will European unity start a blow against Georgia? Will there be a crisis in Ukraine? This land is the breadbasket of Russia, and undoubtedly Russia is ready to wage a war for it."
I was definitely right about Russia's willingness to seize power over Ukraine! I knew this because Putin's past was marked by a diabolical evil comparable to that of Joseph Stalin. This is evidenced by the abundance of fruits. It is said in the Scriptures: “By their fruits you will know them” (Matthew 7:20). Most of our politicians will never learn this lesson. They continue to believe in Mr. Putin's deceitful lifestyle!
Putin drove America out of the Middle East. Now Russia is the only world power that can really influence the region. And now China is pushing America out of Asia. THESE PROCESSES MUST BE EXTREMELY CONCERNED BY THE AMERICAN SUPERPOWER.
Looking at the recent history of Russia, one can predict its immediate future. However, most people are not guided by reality, but pretend to be what they want.
When you add together Bible prophecy and a good understanding of history, you can see the future with amazing clarity.
For several years Ukraine has been striving to join the European Union. In 2009, she joined the European Eastern Cooperation Program, which she hoped to use as a transitional step towards the EU. Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych intended to sign an association agreement on November 29, which would mark a new degree of EU integration. However, on November 21, Yanukovych suddenly announced his REFUSAL to sign the agreement.
Many analysts and journalists were shocked. They expected that Ukraine would sign the agreement and join the EU, or at least become its ally in one way or another.
Why did the Ukrainian president make such a sharp turn?
In late November, it emerged that President Yanukovych had secretly flown to Moscow earlier this month to meet with President Putin. No journalist or analyst was aware of this meeting until November 21, when Yanukovych announced this pivotal rejection.
Over the years, Mr Putin has threatened and harassed Ukraine. Ukraine needs Russian gas, and Moscow cut off gas flow to Ukraine three times during harsh winters. Putin tightened the screws, interrupting the supply of Ukrainian goods and putting pressure on Ukraine, which is dependent on the Russian market.
This long-term strategy has brought Ukraine dangerously close to financial collapse.
In a secret meeting in early November 2013, Putin agreed to ease these murderous measures. He also offered Yanukovych a substantial monetary reward, which was supposed to help him retain power - on condition that the Ukrainian president abandons the agreement with the EU.
Experts agree that it IS THESE MEASURES that led to Ukraine's rejection of the agreement! “The decisive factor was unprecedented pressure from Russia,” said former Polish president and mediator Aleksander Kwasniewski. "The Russians used every weapon in their arsenal."
“THIS IS A QUESTION OF OVERHEAD,” wrote columnist Charles Krauthammer. “Ukraine is not just the largest country in Europe, it is the cornerstone of VLADIMIR PUTIN'S DREAM OF RESTORING THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE, power over neighbors and the rollback of the 25-year spread of freedom and unity in Europe that followed America’s victory in the Cold War” (December 5, 2013; all selections are made by me).
After the announcement of Yanukovych, half a million people took to the streets of Kiev. These people felt betrayed and oppressed. They feared the gathering shadow of authoritarian Russia. They did not want to return to Mother Russia, and did not want to be part of Vladimir Putin's empire. For weeks they have protested and demanded Yanukovych's resignation; they even used force. The protesters did well - Yanukovych was ousted in February 2014.
Putin has long known that an alliance between Ukraine and Europe would severely limit his power. Its goal is to restore the Soviet empire. This empire was built taking into account the presence of Ukraine in its composition. Ukraine is the breadbasket of Russia. To this day, the largest military base outside of Russia is in Ukraine.
Putin put so much pressure on Ukraine because this state is the cornerstone of his dream of rebuilding the Russian Empire! The cornerstone is the stone that prevents the arch from collapsing. Mr. Putin did everything in his power to keep his dream in the new Soviet empire from collapse. And this meant putting significant pressure on Ukraine.
THAT ONE PERSON - ONE PERSON - IS RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH A GREAT GEOPOLITICAL SHIFT IS OF A DEEP SIGNIFICANCE. This would not have happened had he not had the will to use his power and STROKE THE THRONES OF KINGDOM, to use Haggai's words (you can order a free copy of our booklet Haggai: The Lord Began to Shake the Thrones of Kingdoms to better understand the meaning of these words).
Such is the Prince of Russia in business.
Some of the foremost scholars and journalists have called Putin's invasion of Ukraine an INCREDIBLE crisis. This is not much talked about in the American press, but it changed the course of world history. It brought the world ONE GREAT STEP closer to World War III!
Knowing his intentions and their fruits, we should have foreseen his readiness to seize power over Ukraine - "the cornerstone of … the revived Russian Empire." This is key to Putin's plans for Russia's future. It fell to him to correct what he considers "the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century."
In the 1990s, Germany took the lead in Europe, the United States and the United Nations to wrest the Balkans out of the former Soviet Union. It is likely that at some point Germany struck a deal with Russia and refused to interfere with Putin's conquest of Ukraine.
The Germans had already signed an agreement with Russia before the outbreak of World War II. A similar betrayal will be repeated in the near future.
SO THEY DO BUSINESS!
Germany faced literally the entire world to gain control of the Balkans (read our booklet "German Conquest of the Balkans"). However, Germany did nothing to help Ukraine, which almost became a member of the European Union! Doesn't that seem completely pointless?
There are many signs that a new alliance is emerging between Germany and Russia. What are Germany and Russia doing in the shadows behind the scenes?
Humiliation of America
Some American politicians called Germany our closest friend in Europe. Bible prophecy testifies that Germany will betray America, Britain and the Jewish people, as no other nation did before (all this is explained in our book on Ezekiel)!
The Bible predicts that our "lovers" will commit the worst betrayal. Such is the degree of naivety and self-deception of the American superpower and its allies in foreign policy.
The invasion of Ukraine was a very daring move for Russia! America did nothing. WASHINGTON IS SO WEAK THAT IT WAS NOT ABLE TO EVEN PROVIDE FIRM SUPPORT TO UKRAINIAN PROTESTORS!
In 1994 America convinced Ukrainians to get rid of Soviet nuclear weapons. We promised them our protection. However, we were not even enough to send them conventional weapons so that they could fight back the Russian invasion! This is our treacherous attitude towards our allies!
Few Americans understand the disaster this means for America's future. As Russia, China, Iran, and Germany-led Europe gain power and influence, America's foreign policy has become a laughing stock!
However, some Europeans are realizing that Putin's actions in Ukraine are not an isolated incident. Putin is doing everything in his power to prevent Georgia, Ukraine and the rest of the former Soviet Union from developing close relations with Europe.
In 2014, Mr Putin knocked the United States out of his doorstep by pushing Kyrgyzstan to drive America out of Manas. It was the last American military base in Central Asia. She was the main transshipment base for the US military operation in Afghanistan. Putin offered Kyrgyzstan a major arms deal in exchange for refusing to renew America's Manas lease, which ended in July 2014 - and he got what he wanted. He also convinced the Obama administration to roll back the missile defense program that America intended to implement in Europe.
Russian intervention in the Middle East has allowed the brutal Syrian regime to hold onto power. In addition, it was precisely this that allowed Iran to come closer to obtaining nuclear weapons.
In his own country, Putin has turned the press into his personal propaganda apparatus. He significantly weakened democracy and pulled out the claws of the Duma.
Putin and his henchmen in the Kremlin have used their political power to seize control of Russia's most lucrative companies, such as the oil giant Yukos. In 2003, Jaina's Information Group wrote about these state takeovers: “It is becoming clear that Russia is going through a massive political upheaval. This can only be called the BIRTH OF A NEW RUSSIAN REPUBLIC …. This new republic will continue to represent a mixture of market and state economies. However, it will become a country in which the levers of both political and economic power remain in the hands of President Vladimir Putin. THE RUSSIAN PRESIDENT HAS ORGANIZED HIS OWN DECOMPOSITION”. These processes have only gained momentum in the years since the report was written.

It is common knowledge that Vladimir Putin is responsible for the 2004 assassination attempt on the head of the Ukrainian opposition, Viktor Yushchenko. Vladimir Putin and China are responsible for vetoing a string of UN sanctions against some of the world's most fearsome regimes."
“Putin's actions in Russia are disturbing and disgusting. He is suspected of the deaths of more than 130 journalists since his inauguration as president. He destroyed private business, crushed the independent press, brought Russia's energy infrastructure under near total state control, and trampled on the Russian constitution. In December 2013, Putin disbanded the country's largest news agency, replacing it with Russia Segodnya, which is, in fact, a tool for promoting the desired image of Russia outside its borders. In January 2014, the only remaining independent television news organization, Dozhd TV, was threatened following the publication of a poll that annoyed the Kremlin on one point.
The West has for the most part refused to notice the depth of the evil that this man embodies. Under his rule, Russia has become the most dangerous superpower in the world. America's military power is rapidly declining, and its will is completely broken.
FIRST OF ALL THE CRISIS IN UKRAINE BASED US WEAKNESS. HE DEMONSTRATED THAT THE AMERICAN SUPERPOWER IS ALWAYS GONE FROM THE WORLD STAGE! Where is America still setting an example for the world? All we see is her shameful retreat.
This means that one of these predatory, aggressive empires will soon fall on the United States and devour them. This is a history lesson. More importantly, however, Bible prophecy foretells this.
President Putin has a military power that he will not be afraid to use. America is strong, but lacks the will to use its strength. This is why we are in awe of this "evil empire," as President Ronald Reagan once called it. No Russian ruler has been compared to Putin in the degree of diabolical evil since the days of Joseph Stalin.
The Ukrainian crisis continues, and America is dormant throughout. However, EUROPE IS DEEPLY CONCERNED! The changes he provoked in Germany and Europe WILL TURN THE THRONES OF KINGDOMS!
Under Putin's rule, Russia armed with nuclear bombs is transforming its war machine into a modern, technologically advanced army of the 21st century (the American army is faced with a dangerous shortage of resources, and a significant part of it is outdated).
Through his tough methods, President Putin has not only restored Russia to its role as a world power, but has also cemented his place at its helm.
There are many authoritarian rulers in this world. However, it is Vladimir Putin that we should watch with special attention. HIS SERVICE LIST, NATIONALITY AND IDEOLOGY CERTIFY THAT IT IS HE IS CARRYING OUT THE KEY BIBLICAL PROPHECY. The time span of his reign also indicates that no one but him will fulfill the prophecy of chapters 38 and 39 of Ezekiel.
The KGB mindset
On January 23, 2016, the Washington Post published an article by Peter Holia entitled "The death of a former KGB operative reminds of Vladimir Putin's past as a spy." Quote: "As a pugnacious street boy who spent his childhood in a crowded Soviet apartment building, Vladimir Putin dreamed of something bigger."
"When he became a teenager, he came to the conclusion that something was a career as an intelligence officer."
“Even before I graduated from school, I had a desire to work in intelligence. - quotes Putin's biography posted on the Kremlin website. - True, I soon wanted to become a sailor. But then again a scout."
“The biography notes that the young and ambitious Putin even visited the public reception room of the KGB and asked how to become an intelligence officer. They told him that he could start by serving in the army or going to college, preferably at the law school.
"Since then," the website quoted Putin, "I began to prepare to enter the law faculty at Leningrad State University."

Litvinenko, a KGB officer turned British intelligence agent, was killed nearly a decade ago after drinking radioactive polonium with a cup of green tea.
"The KGB-style assassination, which a parliamentary committee has called a 'miniature nuclear strike on the streets of London,' will draw attention to other suspicious deaths among Putin's opponents," Griff Witte and Michael Birnbaum wrote in the Washington Post.
"On his deathbed, Litvinenko personally accused Putin of having arranged both his death and a number of other crimes, including terrorism and pedophilia."
“Years after his sudden rise to power, the question remains: HOW DOES PUTIN'S KGB SERVICE AFFECTED HIS WORLD VIEW and HOW DOES IT CONTINUE TO INFLUENCE HIS RULE?”
This is an important question that most politicians - including the President of the United States Donald Trump - have failed to answer correctly.
“Ardent critics believe that his authoritarian habits are a legacy of the ruthless intelligence service that turned him into a skilled spy. "PUTIN," Russian journalist Maria Gessen told The Telegraph in 2012, "RESTORED KGB PRINCIPLES ON A STATE SCALE."
"'THE IDEOLOGY OF COMMUNISM HAS GONE, but the thinking and methods of his secret services have not gone anywhere," said Alexei Kondaurov, a former KGB general who went into politics, in an interview with The Economist in 2007."

"As she stepped outside the UK Supreme Court on Thursday, she said she was' very happy that her husband's suicide accusation to Putin has been CONFIRMED BY THE ENGLISH COURT."
Accept Putin - Deny the Lord
On July 31, 2015, presidential candidate Trump publicly stated: "I think I will be able to forge an excellent relationship with Vladimir Putin."
On October 11, 2015, Trump echoed this again, addressing CNN: “I think I get along great with him. And I don't think that in this case you will have the same problems as now."
It is said by Jesus Christ: "By their fruits you will know them." On this point, President Trump seems to disagree with Scripture. And he will regret it! He is dangerously naive about Putin.
No American president has tried to maintain good relations with Russia the way Barack Obama did. No American government has crawled so humiliatingly before Russia!
What did this lead to? The foretold Russian prince trampled on the Obama administration!
Apparently, Trump is moving in the same direction. If so, I guarantee you it will hurt this country a lot.
Putin looks so innocent. It's hard to even imagine him angry. However, Scripture prophesies that he could lead to more deaths than any other ruler in history!
The wars unleashed by Mr. Putin will directly lead to the Second Coming of Christ. Jesus Christ knows very well what to do with rulers like the foretold Russian prince!
Now let me tell you what happens to those who get close to the likes of Vladimir Putin and "get along well with them." The Lord has a strong opinion about this grave sin committed by Israel. We all need to understand God's opinion. Nothing else matters.
The Book of Hosea is a prophecy about Ephraim And Israel; these two names are interchangeable. Ephraim is the ancient name of the British peoples; States of the United Kingdom, which include Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. Israel here means the United States. Biblical Israel is much more than a small state in the Middle East; the latter is the biblical state of Judah (and again, to see who is meant by Israel in the prophecies, read our free book, The United States and Britain in the Prophecies).
Notice what is said here about Ephraim: “They are all hot as an oven [which means they are mired in corruption], and they are devouring their judges; all their kings fall, AND NONE OF THEM CALLS TO ME. Ephraim mingled with the nations, Ephraim became like un-turned bread”(Hosea 7: 7-8). "Unturned" means bread that is burnt out from the inside. It's ready to collapse, but it still looks edible on the outside. The Lord says that if Britain and America don't learn some lessons, our nations will collapse like burnt-out bread!
We cannot miss the most serious of these accusations: "NONE OF THEM CALLS TO ME!" No one! Except for the chosen one of God, who delivered this message.
At the most terrible time in the history of the earth, the peoples of Israel rely on themselves and on their allies instead of turning to God. NO ONE cries out to the Lord. They all forgot the Lord. These rulers do not cry out to the Lord, as many of our rulers have done in the past. This is INCREDIBLE - SPACE EVEN - SIN! Satan's greatest wrath is brought against America and Britain (Revelation 12:12). The Lord Himself turned against them.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GET CLOSER WITH PUTIN - AND OUR LOVERS LIKE GERMANY? WE ARE GETTING MORE AWAY FROM THE LORD! This is what these lines are about! This is deadly!
Pay attention to the 9th verse of the 7th chapter of the book of Hosea in the translation of Moffat: "ALIENS devoured the power of his [Israel] … - such aliens as Russia, China, Iran and Germany, - gray hair covered him, but he does not know." The foreign policy of our states leads them to catastrophe, and they are completely unaware of it!
“And the pride of Israel is humbled in their eyes, and yet they did not turn to the Lord their God and did not seek Him” (verse ten, Moffat). Israel is like a stupid, naive dove. He turns to Russia; he turns to Egypt; he refers to Assyria - which refers to modern Germany. When we turn to these states for help and enter into an alliance with them, WE FORGET THE GOD! However, only the Lord can save us in these terrible times!
Despite all these troubles and crises, we do not appeal to the Biblical Lord! We seek help and protection from foreign powers, not from the Lord!
The Lord answers: “When they go, I will throw my net over them; as the birds of the air I will bring them down; I will punish them as their congregation heard. Woe to them, for they have withdrawn from Me; their destruction, that they have fallen away from Me! (verses 12-13). Faced with the worst crisis in the history of planet Earth, the peoples of Israel still refuse to cry out to the Lord! America and Britain must hear God's warning; we are all in mortal danger!
The Lord says that the message of Hosea HAS BEEN SAID to the nations of Israel. Do you see where this message is loudly proclaimed to the peoples of Israel - especially the American and British peoples? The Philadelphia Church of God broadcasts on television throughout America, as well as Canada, Britain, Australia and New Zealand. The Lord says that your congregation HEARD his message. This is directly stated in the book of Hosea.
Where is the Lord? Our peoples are moving further and further from the Lord. As we get closer to Vladimir Putin, it allows him to torment us, and this is exactly what he will do!
"Trumpet to your lips!" - says the Lord to His people in the first verse of chapter 8 of the book of Hosea. SLEEP THE ALARM! Bring this message to people!
Where is this pipe? The True Church of God has raised this trumpet to its lips and continues to proclaim this message of what the nations of Israel - America, Britain and the Jewish people - are doing.
“Israel forgot its Creator and built temples, and Judah built many fortified cities” (verse fourteen). In other words, they rely on their own strength. They have lost faith in the Lord. This verse ends with the following: "but I will send [nuclear] fire on his cities, and it will devour his palaces."
Gog and Magog are gaining power - and their path leads to the heart of the Third World War!
End of the war
The same scripture that accurately predicted the appearance of the mighty Russian prince also prophesies about an Asian superpower that will fight on the fields of the last world war - mainly against Europe led by Germany. By then, the American, British, and Jewish peoples have already fallen (Hosea 5: 5). A war is coming between Russia, China and Germany-led Europe - a war of a scale hard to imagine! Millions, even billions of people will die. Nuclear bombs and other weapons of mass destruction will affect every people on Earth!
However, Scripture also predicts that at the end of all these wars, the world will see the greatest event in the entire universe: the Second Coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ! As Christ himself said, if He had not returned, no flesh would have been saved (Matthew 24:22). However, before the self-destruction of humanity, He will return to stop this madness!
VLADIMIR PUTIN IS A SIGN, LITERALLY SIGN OF THE SOON RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST! This is one of the most uplifting messages in Scripture. What is happening now in Russia will ultimately lead to a transition from the rule of man over man to the rule of God over man. And this time has almost come! There are only a few years left.
We should keep a close watch on Vladimir Putin. I am almost certain that he is the “prince of Rosh,” the Lord prompted Ezekiel to write about two and a half thousand years ago! We should watch what is happening in Russia and the reaction to it from Europe. Daniel chapter 11 verse 44 speaks of "rumors from the east" that disturbed Europe. Putin's actions in Georgia, Ukraine, the Middle East and elsewhere are already deeply troubling to Europe and the rest of the world. The resurgence of Russia - which we often read in the headlines - bears witness to the rapid fulfillment of Bible prophecies about the end times!
In the 23rd verse of the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel it says: "And I will show My majesty and My holiness, and I will reveal Myself before the eyes of many nations, AND THEY KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD." Obviously, this prophecy has yet to come true. Most people still don't know that God is Lord. A great change is coming.
We must understand that this is the GLAD TIDING, since Jesus Christ will return to this Earth at the very end of the coming world war. The states fighting in it will be destroyed by Jesus Christ Himself!
The return of Jesus Christ is approaching - this is evident from biblical prophecies. Of course, we must study the Scriptures to understand these prophecies. They have such a deep meaning and such importance FOR YOU!
