400 mysterious stone structures have been discovered in Saudi Arabia. According to archaeologists, the objects are several thousand years old.
While researchers find it difficult to say about the purpose of the objects. Unusual objects have been spotted in satellite imagery. Some of the structures were located on the slope of a volcanic cone from which basaltic lava was once ejected.
The walls were rather rough and low, says Professor David Kennedy of the University of Western Australia.

The smallest of the structures are 13 meters long, the largest is 518 meters. Some of the structures were rectangular, others were gates. The walls of structures, as a rule, were a pile of piled stones.
Among the objects, scientists have found several structures that were used for hunting animals.
There were traces of lava on some of the walls, indicating that the structures were older than some of the lava remains. According to scientists, the age of some structures may be about 7 thousand years. Field research has not yet been conducted, so it is impossible to pinpoint exactly when the objects were created.
