The Egyptian Biblical Darkness, allegedly arranged by the prophet Moses, has occurred more than once in our time. And yesterday morning this strange phenomenon was observed by the inhabitants of Stockholm.
In the photo below, you see the Swedish capital at about 6 am, but the streets are pitch black. One might think that it is still very early and the sun has not had time to rise. But this is not so: just before that, the inhabitants of Stockholm, as always, met an autumn sunny morning, and many have already hurried about their usual business. Suddenly … the city was covered by an incomprehensible to all, very terrible darkness.
Many Swedes were simply scared, thinking that an atomic war had begun, aliens attacked the Earth, or our planet, finally, became a victim of the mysterious Nibiru, since it was these threats that were most often foreshadowed by the media and the Internet. People began to call various emergency services, but the employees of these institutions were themselves at a loss as to what had happened. It's just that Sweden was covered with Egyptian darkness.
Fortunately for everyone, this did not last long - only an hour, and then it became light again. Scientists still cannot explain this mysterious natural phenomenon. Today they put forward the following hypotheses:
- the sun was covered by the sand brought by the wind of the hurricane "Ophelia";
- the darkness came due to the huge soot in the sky, which came from forest fires in Spain.

Neither sand nor soot blocks the sun instantly and completely, nor does it open it up with lightning speed. And the darkness from them is not so complete and all-consuming. There is something completely different here, which is why all sorts of paranormal and even mystical versions arise, up to the arrival of a new Messiah or the beginning of the Apocalypse.
Conspiracy theorists tried to associate the Egyptian darkness in Sweden with the strange behavior of the sun the day before, that is, October 16. The luminary suddenly turned red, this was observed by many residents of Great Britain, Germany, Holland and so on. They also tried to blame this phenomenon on the raised sand as a result of Hurricane Ophelia, but where did this sand come from, and if it came from Egypt, as scientists say, then in Egypt itself the sun must constantly have such a shade due to the proximity of the Sahara Desert and frequent winds. But this is not observed here.
Forest fires also occur in Europe very often, sometimes they are even larger than today, but they did not demonstrate either the red sun or the Egyptian darkness in previous years. Something is wrong here, the conspiracy theorists suggest looking for the reason not in natural phenomena, but in a completely different plane, for example, alien or in the approximation of global transformations of the Earth, which many researchers have been talking about for a long time. We live in an interesting time - the time of the reorganization of the world and, most likely, a cardinal change of the person himself …
