Hereditary Polish farmer Krzystof Makles, who has been breeding ducks for quite some time, once spotted a freak with four legs among the little ducklings in an incubator
At first he thought that a defective duckling, like many animals born with disabilities, would be weak and die quickly. But the duck nicknamed Quacky (Quack) did not want to die at all. Instead, she grew and gained weight like all other ducks and the extra two hind legs did not cause her any trouble.
In the village of Swiecie, where the unusual creature was born, soon all the locals could see a wonderful picture. As the Quack Quack everywhere follows the farmer who has shown increased attention to her.
Krzysztof confessed that he made the duck his pet and that he became the favorite of the whole family. He flatly refuses to sell to the butchers who have shown interest in her and declares that he will not allow Kryakalka to become someone's dinner.
