Two Turkish Airlines pilots flying from the Turkish resort town of Bodrum to Istanbul on Thursday evening May 19 said they saw an unidentified green flying object that flew over their plane in the Silivri area just an hour before the EgyptAir disaster.
The pilots described the UFO at Istanbul Airport's air traffic control as "an unidentified object with green lights flying three thousand feet above us," Turkish newspaper Hurriyet reported.
“The object was recorded at 17,000 feet at about 11:30 pm. Then he suddenly disappeared, we think it was a UFO,”added the pilots.
According to the department, no objects similar to those described by the pilots were recorded on radars.
Egyptian investigators say it's too early to talk about the causes of the disaster. On May 23, a French submarine was sent from the port of Toulon to the crash site of the airliner to survey the bottom. Egypt expects to find the wreckage of the aircraft, "black boxes" and the remains of passengers and crew members using an unmanned submarine, which was previously used for geological research.
Recall that early in the morning of May 19, over the Mediterranean Sea, the A320 aircraft en route from Paris to Cairo suddenly began to lose altitude and, after making several sharp turns, fell into the water. There were 66 people on board: 56 passengers, including three children, and 10 crew members.
The lists provided by the airline include representatives of 12 states, most of which were Egyptians and French. The wreckage of the missing liner was found south of the Greek island of Karpathos.
