An Irish journalist said he knew why the Titanic actually sank. The death of the famous ship was not due to a collision with an iceberg - the fire that happened on board for three whole weeks before the start of the voyage is to blame.
Shannon Moloney, the author of the study, devoted thirty years to the history of the sinking of the Titanic. He carefully studied all aspects of the tragedy and found out that experts had previously paid attention to the pictures of the liner, which clearly show soot spots. According to data received by Moloney, a fire in the liner's fuel storage occurred three weeks before the start of the voyage.
The owners of the company knew very well about the fire, but they put their money above the lives of thousands of people. The Titanic departed from the pier with a fire on board - it was being extinguished on the way.
This terrible fire seriously damaged the hull of the liner. That is why the collision with the iceberg became a disaster: in April 1912, the Titanic went down and took with it 1,500 passengers.
