Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, April 18. Specialists of the Komandorskiy Biosphere Reserve have noted a massive release of the sea frog fish ashore, a representative of the reserve said on Monday
“On a significant part of the coastal strip of Bering Island, there are massive ejections of sea frogs. Inspectors count three or four individuals per running meter,”the agency's source said.
He noted that mass emissions of sea frogs on the island have never been recorded over the entire period of long-term observations. The cause of the fish death remains to be determined. The most likely, according to scientists, is changes in the ocean.
The sea frog (local name - "soft", in the language of the indigenous people of the Commander Islands - Aleuts "Laiukhashka") is a fish from the family of round feathers, which has an unusual device for attaching to stones - a suction cup formed from pelvic fins. Sea frogs approach the shores of Komandor for spawning in early April.
On Sunday 10 April around noon, 10 dead green turtles were found on the Australian beach at Boyne Island and Tannum Sand near the mouth of the Boyne River
Eyewitnesses notified the workers of the Gladstone and regional Wildlife Conservation Association. Jody Jones, the president of the group and one of the members of the association, visited the beach immediately after the message and saw a gruesome scene that only caused her bewilderment.

Mrs Jones: “The turtles have no visible injuries, they all look healthy. It worries me that this might be unnatural. I just cried. I can `t believe my eyes.
Jones has previously rescued many turtles with so-called "floating syndrome" in these areas. However, none of them had these symptoms.
An investigation into the causes of the death of the animals is currently underway. An autopsy was performed, after which experts excluded from the list of possible causes of death strikes against fishing boats, starvation, and attacks by predators.
