It is believed that especially talented mediums can demonstrate the materialization of various objects, as well as living organisms, flowers, fruits, called aport.

In the 70s - 80s of the last century, the London medium Paul McEloni was especially popular, demonstrating the appearance of flowers from his mouth in his own apartment. But since he showed his abilities in a shaded room, many doubted the "purity" of his experiments.

One such demonstration was witnessed in November 1981 by the spiritualist Michel Clery. His story about this event appeared in the journal "News of Psychology". Before the start of the session, Clery first carefully examined McEloni himself, and then his room.

“Then, already during the seance,” wrote Clery, “a spirit by the name of Syros entered the medium. Syros created the first flowers by light. I stared into Paul's mouth. There was nothing there! Then a fresh flower began to appear from there. My family is very fond of carnations. I asked my mother's spirit in advance to send this particular type of flower. When Syros created the first carnation, he said it was a gift from my mother."

The medium was exposed by the writer and researcher Leon Playfer, to whom McEloni also demonstrated the appearance of carnations from his mouth. And it happened as follows. Once, as usual, before the session, Playfer carefully examined the medium and the room in which he demonstrated his unique abilities. True, this time the writer also looked into the tape recorder used by the spirit. And what was his surprise when he found several flowers there. Of course, after this discovery, McElonney's "ability" no longer interested anyone.

In general, some spirits began to demonstrate aport of flowers as early as the middle of the 18th century. A special talent in this matter was shown by mediums Agnes Guppi and Yuzapia Palladino, who lived in the 19th century. During the sessions, they could "deliver" not only flowers or fruits to the room, but even ice.

The most surprising aport should probably be considered the demonstrations of the famous English medium and clairvoyant Elizabeth Hope (1855-1919), who bore the pseudonym de Esperance. During her sessions, she summoned and materialized a spirit named Yolanda.

During one of these performances, Yolanda took a decanter in which there was sand mixed with water, set it in the middle of the room and threw a piece of cloth over it.

Right before the eyes of the astonished spectators, the fabric began to slowly rise. When Yolanda removed the coverlet, everyone saw the plant growing slowly. After that, the spirit again covered the decanter with a cloth and invited those present to sing something quietly. Several minutes passed. And when those present finished the choir singing, Yolanda again showed them the plant. This time, a large flower adorned the top of the stem. At the same time, the plant was more than half a meter high, and its stem with twenty-nine leaves completely filled the neck of the decanter.

Ten years later, on June 28, 1890, de Esperance demonstrated another amazing aport: on that day, a golden lily of two meters in height appeared in front of the audience, from which a strong aroma emanated. It contained eleven flowers, five of which soon blossomed completely.

In the 60s - 70s of the XIX century, the medium Samuel Guppy was very popular among the spiritualists, who could also reproduce aport of various complexity. So, one day, at the request of her longtime friend, she within a short time materialized a huge sunflower, 1.6 meters long, with clods of earth on the roots.

Another time, Guppy asked the audience to order any fruit or vegetable. And as soon as the order was made, fruits of various plants appeared in the room very quickly - both from the tropics and from central Europe: banana, orange and lemon, white and red grapes, plums, apples and pears, nuts, a slice of candied pineapple, a handful currants.

The famous Italian parapsychologist Ernesto Bozzano once witnessed the unique aport. In his account of this incident, he wrote the following: “In March 1904, in the house of Cavaliere Peretti, a medium - a person we knew intimately - held a memorable session, during which he invited the audience to come up with tasks. I asked the summoned spirit to transfer from my house (that is, from a distance of about two kilometers) a piece of pyrite that was on my desk. The spirit (through the medium) replied that this task might not be up to him, but he would try to fulfill the request.

Soon, the medium began an attack of convulsions, which usually accompanied the appearance of aport, but there was no sound of an object falling on the table or on the floor. We asked for an explanation of what was happening, and the medium said that it was possible to dematerialize only a part of the object I indicated and move it into the room for the session, but the forces were no longer enough to materialize back.

In conclusion, the medium asked to turn on the light. To the great amazement of the audience, their clothes and hair, as well as furniture and carpets, were strewn with the finest layer of sparkling pyrite dust particles. Returning home after the session, I found on the table only a part of a large piece of pyrite - about a third of it had disappeared."

But some mediums could materialize not only plants or fruits, but also animals. Thus, the famous Australian medium Charles Bailey (1870–1947) once created two nests with live birds. In another case, a hammerhead shark 46 centimeters long and a crab on a pile of seaweed appeared in his cage. At the same time, many aports disappeared as mysteriously as they appeared.

However, many skeptical researchers did not believe in Bailey's unique abilities. For example, they said that on the eve of one of the sessions in France, he bought two birds for the aports, which he later materialized.

In the 60s of the last century, American medium Kate Milton Reinhart performed in London. In a well-lit room and in the presence of reputable scientists, he took from his mouth many different objects, including a seahorse. Semi-precious stones also appeared on his body: they were under the skin, and the medium even allowed the eyewitnesses to pick out some of them. True, no one saw that the stones themselves would go out through the skin of the medium, and therefore there was a suspicion that they were previously implanted into his body.

As for the attempts to give a scientific explanation for the aport, a number of hypotheses have been put forward in this regard. So, according to one of them, during the aport, the medium, thanks to its inherent unique abilities, divides real-life material objects into atoms, moves them to the right place and reproduces them in their original form. Of course, this hypothesis can hardly be accepted by serious scientists, since it contradicts the basics of physics: in order to destroy an object to the simplest elements, and then assemble it to its previous state and shape, it will take enormous energy that a medium can never receive under normal conditions.

There is also a version that the aport is delivered to the room where the medium conducts the session by astral entities called spirits and which, as you know, directly assist the spiritualists in their experiments.
