The first time I was in Kronstadt was in 2010, and even then it struck me with its absurdity and former splendor. Then I looked at the standard set of buildings that tourists are led through. Like this is the Cathedral of Sailors, but at that time it was under restoration and looked like paper.

Here is the same cast-iron pavement on which the sailors threw themselves. The gate of the Petrovsky dock. Monument to Peter, embankments, walls. And of course the halo of Peter the Great hangs everywhere, who was everywhere, everything was in time. Straight man generator.

Over the years, I came across information about Kronstadt of a non-tourist nature. Namely, about the discrepancy between the official history and the facts that are on the surface, and I fired up the idea to come to Kronstadt again and again feel live everything that I missed in 2010. Looking ahead, I will say that there are even more questions and I again regret that I did not have time to look at some points. So I will come to Kronstadt again.

I will not describe in detail every moment here, many people have been collecting grains of information for years and whole books are obtained. I'll just show you some amazing inconsistencies that for some reason are not described in detail in the official history. And I will just remind you that Kronstadt was founded in 1704.

If we look at Google maps, we will see star-like lines not only of the western fortress wall of Kronstadt, but also much to the west of it. And if everything is more or less clear about the walls of Kronstadt, then no one is trying to investigate what remains to the west. For clarity, I have drawn with colored lines.

The part of the star through which the Ring Road is now passing is very similar to the remains of star-like fortifications, about which many studies are now breaking spears. Such remains are found throughout Europe and Russia. This is a very extensive layer of information and anyone interested can enter the query "Star Fortresses" or "Great Trans-Volga Wall" in Yandex. The official history does not notice these things. Well, people are trying to explain all this.

The engravings of the mid-18th century clearly show these fortifications west of Kronstadt

This engraving is generally contrary to the generally accepted history. Kronstadt is populated many times more than Petersburg. Although history echoes that it was from St. Petersburg that the Peter's story came. But this is to another steppe - I'm all about star-like fortifications.

Surprisingly, the same fortification can be seen near the Nyenskans fortress.

On Google maps, the Sverdlovskaya Embankment goes over the top of the fortress, and the green wasteland keeps the imprint of a star.

By the way, they were going to build the famous Okhta Center at this place, but thank God they stopped. The results of the excavations are also not advertised, which is strange - there is something to dig there. By the way, it is also strange that no excavations are being conducted in the area of star-like fortifications west of Kronstadt. They will probably give rise to many uncomfortable questions too.

In 1824, the most catastrophic flood occurred, due to which, apparently, part of the Kotlin Island on which Kronstadt is located, namely the northern part, became a swamp and the remains of the mysterious fortifications also went under water. By the way, why there was such a particularly strong flood is not particularly clear, although it is difficult to explain only by storm and rains. Although, of course, this was not the only flood, but for some reason it stands out clearly from others.

Well, I will throw in some inconsistencies a little more, the answers to which are not in the official history, or rather, it writes off everything to the illiteracy of cartographers, that all this is forgeries and so on. All available maps until 1704-10 clearly indicate the city of Petersburg - it is on the Kotlin Island. It is difficult to attribute everything to the illiteracy of cartographers, since everything else is drawn very clearly and with good anchor. And this is not surprising if we consider the opinion that Kronstadt was a stronghold, Peter's base for the subsequent seizure of lands and power in Russia.

This map (like all the pictures in this thread) can be opened in high resolution. It is generally fantastic and painted by a Frenchman. it is called Route de Moscow a Pekim Par La Siberia et la tartar. Que Adam Brand a'tenüe êtant envoy de sa Majeste Czarienne a la Chine et a 1692 1694th etablir Pour un commerce entre les deux Empires.

What's in Russian: A journey from Moscow to Beijing through Siberia and Tartary, made by Adam Brand, His Imperial Majesty's ambassador to China in 1692-1694 to establish trade ties between the two empires.

Map of 1722.

This map shows not only St. Petersburg on Kotlin Island but also the border that separates the Novgorod lands from the enemy lands

Here is a bigger scale (administrative boundaries around 1700).

Well, that is the place where Petersburg is Russian, judging by this map, cannot be called exactly. And Petersburg itself is calmly standing on enemy territory.

There is a version that Peter, they say, did not cut a window from Russia, but, on the contrary, conquered Russia from Europe, using his outpost Kronshlott (Kronshloss) and Kotlin Island, as a base and remote from the territory of Russia and the territory as close and convenient to Europe as possible, to besides, it was possible to approach Kotlin Island by ships. There is a layer of information about the true origin of Peter and about his behavior and about the change of the dynasty. Hence the location of Oranienbaum and Peterhof, which were essentially military bases built before St. Petersburg, etc. etc. This is very interesting and there are great works that explain a lot in the story about the city of St. Petersburg and everything looks very logical. Who cares - I can throw a link to a great work on this topic.

Well, here I will just leave pictures of Kronstadt (the first St. Petersburg).

Here are the engravings showing Peter's house. The official history sees Peter's house only on the mainland and it certainly could not be on Kotlin. Probably the engravers, following the cartographers, messed up, not otherwise.

These engravings were made by a certain Peter Picart, St. Petersburg, 1703.

It was a saying that in reality Kronstadt is not as simple as its history tells us. And it was especially difficult in the times of Peter the Great. After all, for some reason, after 1710, the information on Kronstadt turns out to be completely different, as it was painted before 1700. It can be seen then not only changed the calendars and shaved beards, but also destroyed the historical layer, and we only have to fix the guesses. And the official history is not our assistant.
