The era of the reign of Nicholas II was remembered for the hardest events in world and national history. During the period from 1894 to 1917, there were three revolutions and one world war.

However, one should not blame Emperor Nicholas II for everything, since times were very difficult and society demanded reforms, but for many reasons they were not carried out.

It is worth thinking about something else. How was Nicholas II remembered by our contemporaries? Many political forces in modern Russia have different attitudes towards the personality of the Emperor. The communists were mostly negative, but the liberal forces acquitted the Emperor and the Orthodox Church canonized him.

It also seems to me that Nicholas II and his family were the victims of the “red repressions” and certainly did not deserve such an end to his reign and life.

The death of the monarchy, which existed for more than 500 years, is connected with his death. However, now, especially in the church environment, there are opinions about the revival of the monarchy and the restoration of the Romanov dynasty. Of course, if we are Orthodox people, then we must be monarchists, since the monarchy is the beginning of all the principles of the political system of society in Russia, with which the adoption of the Christian religion is certainly connected.
