Much more interesting is another question: do the walls have a memory, and their secrets? The walls of old houses are like other old things, as if photographic film can store old information.
We've all heard stories about old mirrors, paintings, and other things that can hold information. Do old houses store such information? Probably yes! There are many testimonies of people who live in ancient buildings, about inexplicable phenomena inside them. Perhaps these are chronmirages, or maybe something more, for example, ghosts. Most often, residents of old houses are faced with the paranormal if violent actions have taken place there. It is also interesting that adults rarely feel something supernatural in such houses. As a rule, small children or pets react to these phenomena.

When I was very young, we lived in a separate two-story mansion with high ceilings, huge windows and oak floors. Particular attention was drawn to the main, largest room, which was called the "hall". She always instilled fear in me. I could not be there alone, however, my parents and grandparents rarely visited there either. The large room was beautifully furnished in the old way. Three huge windows made it light, but there was something unpleasant there. Often it seemed to me, or maybe it did not seem to me that someone was walking around the room. I heard strange whispers, footsteps, sometimes I saw incomprehensible shadows. It happened that the old creaky door opened and closed by itself.
Later, when I grew up, I was thirteen or fourteen years old, my grandmother told me an interesting, rather scary story. It turned out that our family lives in a house that is almost one and a half centuries old. A young married couple lived in the house, childless. In addition to the husband and wife, there was also a maid and a cook - also two young girls.
The owner of the house often went on business trips. And then, one day, just like in a joke, the man came home earlier. No, he did not find his young wife with her lover, the picture that her husband saw was much worse. Three young girls, his wife, maid and cook made love to two strangers. In a word, having arrived home, the young husband saw a real orgy with the participation of his wife. This picture, most likely, just drove him crazy. Without thinking twice, the owner of the house took out a revolver and shot all five participants in the orgy. All this happened in a large room. The owner of the house was arrested and died in prison.
We have not lived there for a long time. I know that the already uninhabited house will soon be demolished. I am already an adult, but I still cannot forget the large room. And I constantly ask myself the question: what did I hear and who did I see there?
