Now almost none of the people know the story of the Frenchwoman Jeanne Kofman, who devoted her life to finding and studying the Yeti. She was called the “godmother” of creatures who were repeatedly seen in Kabardino-Balkaria.

During an expedition to the Pamirs, 200 people confirmed the existence of Almasta, which made even the most inveterate skeptics change their minds on this issue. People often brought scraps of wool to the researcher or described the traces they saw of a hominid hiding among mountain gorges.
Already at the end of the 80s, a Kharkov specialist Panchenko arrived here, who was lucky to personally meet the mysterious Bigfoot. A local resident said that he helps his sick horse and often visits it at night. He did not understand such a reverent attitude of the creatures to these animals, even braiding their manes in braids, after which the man decided to hide in the barn and wait for the arrival of the mysterious healer. In the silence, the steps of the almasty were heard, and then he himself appeared before the amazed man in all his glory. Approaching its patient, the creature began to gently stroke her and speak in her ear words reminiscent of muttering. The horse showed no signs of anxiety at all and was glad to meet his friend, only the researcher turned awkwardly in his hiding place, trying to see this miracle better. The Yeti immediately sensed the danger, after which he rushed to flee from this place with sharp jumps.
Moscow scientists, together with Danilov, not only saw mystical guests, but were also able to observe how the female, along with the cubs, feasted on the cobs of corn in the field. She immediately began to drive her children into the thickets and cautiously looked sideways at the violators of leisure, but the kids did not want to obey the orders of their mother and strove to dodge in order to better look at people. She managed to put things in order in the family, and the group decided not to disturb the peace of the Yeti with their excessive curiosity, preferring to leave the territory. The French traveler kept her statistics, where it was noted that eyewitnesses of the events only 7 times noticed children walking all alone, but this did not mean that adults left them here unattended. They could just hide not far from these places, being perfectly able to disguise themselves, because, already through bitter experience, they were able to make sure thatthat meeting with a person will not lead to good.

Such acquaintances ended with the killing of the snowmen, and they were also taken prisoner, in order to then be released. There were also known cases when creatures lived in the houses of the mountaineers and performed the most difficult work. Zhanna Kofman could talk about her charges for a long time without falling into fanaticism or repeating old stories. The woman was a scientist, far from romantic fantasies, and also personally went around the entire territory of the Caucasus to learn new information about hominids. Local residents willingly talked with a cheerful and sociable foreign woman, so now all the information regarding the existence of the Yeti has become known to society thanks to her works. Now the 97-year-old person cannot move herself without the help of a wheelchair, but Caucasians make up legends about the tireless seeker of this species, which she considered a transitional branch after human evolution. It is best to look for mysterious creatures in the summer, as they roam the mountains in search of food, and in the fall, individuals were seen only 22 times appearing in the morning.
