Archaeological excavations in the settlement of Pyakipur 3 have been completed in Muravlenko.

At the site of the settlement, ceramic items were found that did not resemble items typical for the area. In addition, a rare find was found in the excavation - a ceramic nozzle.

Nozzle - a nozzle on a pipe to control the jet of gas, steam, liquid coming out of it. Used in metallurgy, mining and welding. Ceramic nozzles are not a typical find for the Purovsky region. Usually these tools are found in mountainous areas, where metal and stone tools have been processed since antiquity.

“The found nozzles resemble a monument where traces of many years of industrial activity are recorded to the so-called“centers of metallurgy and mining”.

Proceeding from this, the discovery of the nozzle in the cultural layer indicates a high level of metal production among the ancient population, and suggests that in the settlement of Pyakupur 3 they were not only engaged in metalworking, but also smelted or smelted raw materials and products from it, the official says. the site of the State Service for the Protection of Yamal Cultural Heritage Sites.

Pyakipur 3 is an ancient settlement in the Purovsky region. It is located near the town of Muravlenko on the territory of the Sutorminskoye field. Discovered by archaeologists in 2008. At the same time, the approximate age of the settlement was established, the transition from the Early to the Middle Bronze Age (3600 - 3500 years ago).
