Strange phenomena are taking place in the sky of the Murom district of the Vladimir region. Experts on anomalous phenomena dubbed them CHLO.

The Lazorev family has been spending their holidays on Lake Visha for the third year already. The places are very beautiful and their names are somehow fabulous: Shumilikha, Chud, Borovitsy. So this year we came to Vishu. The tent was set up where it used to be - by the old fireplace. We gathered some brushwood, lit a fire. Suddenly coolness came from the west. The head of the family, Oleg Evgenievich, went to the shore and looked around. A heavy rain cloud floated out from behind the forest. When it covered the camp, the lake, and the distant hill overgrown with spruce, Lazorev battened down the windows in his old "four". His wife and seven-year-old son Maksim hastily brought a simple tourist belongings into the tent - they were waiting for a strong thunderstorm to break out. But what happened next, the Lazorevs remembered for the rest of their lives.

After a bright flash, dazzling white balls suddenly fell from the sky. Looping and whirling, they slowly approached the ground and burst soundlessly at the tops of the trees. Here is how Oleg Evgenievich describes what he saw:

- I myself am a former military man. He worked in the Arctic Circle for several years. I saw the northern lights and meteor showers in all their glory. But I have never heard of such a miracle. The balls looked like giant fireflies. Some sank very low. You could even reach them with your hand. But we sat as if paralyzed, afraid to move, not daring to utter a word. Then something incredible happened. Right in the middle of the lake, three meters from the surface, a huge red ball with black veins hovered - exactly like a walnut. Ten seconds later, it split in two with a crash, and its two halves, wriggling and leaving behind a tracer trail, flew apart. It was amazing. Maksimka then drew only these balls for six months. And the wife began to go to church, she says, this sign was to her.

There have been many such signs throughout the history of mankind. It is known that the ancient Greeks and Romans repeatedly described "flaming chariots" coming down from thunderclouds. The Japanese were delighted with ghost ships with glowing lights, which no, no, and even sail across the heavenly ocean. Mentions of such phenomena can also be found in the chronicles of the reign of the Egyptian Pharaoh Thutmose III: "At six o'clock in the afternoon, a luminous ball appeared in the sky, which moved south, terrifying everyone who saw it." And, of course, the biblical prophets could not ignore such miracles. In Ezekneil we find: "… and now a stormy wind was coming from the north, and a great cloud, and swirling fire, and radiance around it, and from the middle of it - like the light of a flame."

Scientists do not believe in miracles and signs, and therefore gave all these strange balls and auroras a purely scientific name: heminimiluminescent formations. Wow the name! But for "dummies" like us, you can simply: CHLO. Such flying "crackers" can float freely in the air, approach the surface of the Earth, fancifully change the trajectory and brightness, and explode. However, the matter does not go beyond the description of these formations.

Some experts believe that CHLO is not fireballs that have flared up; others talk about aerosol accumulations of active particles of unknown nature in the atmosphere; still others, in general, lost in conjecture, blame what is happening on the elusive humanoids.

Interestingly, ChLO is observed, as a rule, in the same areas. There are several such anomalous zones in our country. The so-called Permian anomalous triangle is well known to specialists. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, near the village of Vilya, there is a "cursed place" where old and sick animals go to die. Many interesting things were captured there: light wells, nebulae, "holographic snakes" and much more. And now - Lake Visha, fifty miles from Murom. It is very likely that this anomaly, let's call it Borovitsko-Chudskoy, is directly related to the notorious HLO.

I managed to find a man in Murom who 15 years ago was seriously concerned with the nature of this anomaly. Vladimir Aleksandrovich Zaitsev is an incorrigible optimist and the first ufologist of the city. Now he is not up to some kind of alien plates - he is more concerned with earthly problems, such as making ends meet with a meager salary for an engineer. But there was a time, he traveled in a company with the same enthusiasts through the villages and villages in search of mysterious atmospheric phenomena. For several years, Vladimir Aleksandrovich has collected many interesting facts about an unknown anomaly in the Murom region. In 1985 he was lucky to take part in the famous Gorky seminar of ufologists, which was attended by leading experts in this field.

“There are a lot of mysteries in these phenomena,” says Vladimir Alexandrovich. - Sometimes completely inexplicable things happen. I remember that we photographed the same objects in the area of the Ushna River. We arrived at the scene at about 11 pm, settled down, arranged the equipment. We clicked a couple of times and decided to smoke. Someone looked at the clock. What the hell?! Time is 4 am! They checked their watches - everyone had the same thing: 4.00. But where did the five hours go ?! We just arrived, and did not have time to freeze yet. And it would be okay for one someone to have such a memory lapse, otherwise there were four of us, and no one remembers anything!

Vladimir Alexandrovich told how one day in the village of Chud ufologists met strange people who introduced themselves to them as military geologists. They rented a house in the village for the whole season and did some research. The geologists were reluctant to have a frank conversation, they answered questions evasively, coming up with some unconvincing excuses. Most likely, the Borovitsko-Chudskaya anomaly was known for a long time and, as was customary in our country at that time, the research of these phenomena was classified as "top secret." Looks like there are really many mysteries there.
