In the summer of 2004, there were three cases of "time lapses"

Recently, colleagues from a magazine specializing in "anomalous" topics conducted a rating of the popularity of various anomalous topics. As you might expect, “life after death” came first, and “time travel” came second.

Everything is logical: the first topic interests all of us, without exception, and as for the second, with the current trend of constant cuts in allocations for fundamental science, we will approach it only after ten generations. Let's try to fill this gap and at least deal with all sorts of prohibitions on time travel that modern science itself comes up with, so as not to rack our brains over this problem. Thank you also for the fact that a number of prominent scientists, including Stephen Hawking, at least theoretically admit such a possibility.

We will not touch upon the fundamental principle of causality for now: we will wait a little longer until, in spite of Einstein, in physical experiments the possibility of achieving superluminal velocities will not be reliably established.

But the opponents of the possibility of time travel have another, quite deadly, in their opinion, principle, which we will conventionally call astronomical. As even a school student knows, the Earth is continuously moving around the Sun and simultaneously with it, around the center of our galaxy, which is also moving somewhere.

Suppose we have created a time machine and want to use it to travel to Earth in 1000 years. But in 1000 the Earth was at a completely different point in space, and this is an immutable astronomical and physical fact. Therefore, in order to find ourselves in this era, we need to create a hybrid MB with a starship and even manage to calculate this very point, which is almost unrealistic. This means that time travel is impossible.

Even quite serious scientists operate with this argument, forgetting that this reasoning most likely belongs to the field of formal logic, with the help of which any absurdity can be substantiated. About the same as the famous Zeno's aporias, who assert, in particular, that the swift-footed Achilles will never catch up with the turtle. In reality, he will do it easily. To refute the astronomical prohibition is simple: we need examples of real time travel. There are indeed such stories, although over 90% of such stories wandering in various media are sheer lime trees. But there is also a fairly reliable "dry residue".

MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE

Although this story took place in the late 90s, its direct participant decided to tell about it relatively recently, after it got into the media in a very distorted form from someone. Therefore, at the request of the author, we will transfer the main part of it from the first person, only slightly reducing it.

Its author is a Muscovite Igor Kondrashov, for obvious reason he does not name the exact place of the event, but this is not important either - in another, almost similar case, the place of the event is named exactly, but it does not give anything.

“This most incredible event in my life happened a few days before the default. In my Zhiguli I drove up to the Central Research Institute, where I had to submit an interim report on the work done. Back in Soviet times, a parking lot was organized near it with a formidable sign: "Only for vehicles of employees." But since then the number of cars at employees has increased dramatically, and I hardly found a free seat. If I had parked in a different place, subsequent events would have developed completely differently.

Our Central Research Institute was not a very secret, but a regime enterprise, a pass had already been ordered for me, I went through the "turntable" and went out into the courtyard-square formed by the buildings of the institute. The delivery of the report was purely formal, especially since one of the department heads is my old friend Victor.

When I walked through the vast courtyard, when I saw a bench under a tree, I decided to check once again whether all the papers were correctly drawn up. I sat down on it, opened the diplomat and suddenly felt somehow unwell. I don't even know how to describe it: something like heat or sunstroke. Further - it gets worse: all the colors suddenly disappeared, as happens when the television signal is weakened - the action continues, but already in black and white.

Then the surrounding picture completely darkened, and I seemed to have fallen into complete blackness. But I am sure that I did not lose consciousness, because in a few moments the surrounding picture returned to its normal, colorful state.

To be honest, at that moment I was seriously scared: I had just changed my third dozen, there were no health problems, and suddenly this … Having regained consciousness, I sat a little longer, but nothing hurt anywhere, I risked to get up and rather carefully moved in the same direction. But when I got to Victor's office, he stared at me as if at a ghost: “Where have you been ?! You've been gone for five days!"

Here it is necessary to briefly retell the previous events. Without waiting for a friend with a report, Victor called him at home several times, but no one was there. The working day ended, Victor went out of the building to his car and found his friend's "Zhigulyonok" standing alone. He immediately returned to the shift and found out that he had arrived at the agreed time, but the institute building had not yet left. I had to call the appropriate service. The dog handler arrived with the dog. The dog took the trail, brought everyone to the bench and in bewilderment spun in place - the trail disappeared. One of the newcomers came up with a completely ridiculous idea: "Looks like your visitor has changed his shoes here."

They searched almost the entire institute, but found nowhere even a trace. It was impossible to leave the institute, bypassing the watch, another entrance door, which went from another building to a parallel street, was closed long ago, all the windows on the first floor had fixed bars. It turned out that the person who entered the courtyard of the institute disappeared without a trace. And its manifestation five days later at the same place did not clarify anything.

This story did not become the property of the media in those years, since all events took place after the end of the working day, and only a few employees of the institute were devoted to them. Just in case, the management ordered that the bench be removed, and in this place, one on top of the other, put a couple of large concrete slabs so that no one else would walk there. Plates still lie quietly.

FLIGHT TELEVISION

It is a pity that in this story there were no witnesses who saw the disappearance and return of Igor from nothing five days later. But in our archive there is also a case when there were two such witnesses at once. This incident also took place in Moscow, but five years earlier - in 1993. Three "new Russian" businessmen themselves appeared before the Moscow commission on anomalous phenomena "Phenomenon" after they became participants and witnesses of an absolutely fantastic story.

They introduced themselves as S. Kameev, general director of the firm, B. Ivashenko - commercial director, and O. Karatyan - an employee of the same firm. This story took place not far from the Ostankino TV tower, and the first two were waiting for the third with a suitcase of money. It was raining, there were puddles on the square, and Oleg Karatyan with a diplomat was just approaching them, moving through another puddle.

Suddenly the air hummed deeply, and the TV tower, as it seemed to them, was surrounded by a reddish glow. Then the "image" of the tower blurred, blinked, and it "appeared" much closer (or the participants in the event moved to it). And then Oleg, who was only twenty steps away from them, suddenly disappeared. With a money diplomat. You can imagine what the witnesses to the disappearance experienced. They cannot say how long they stood in some kind of stupor - maybe a minute, maybe all ten. The area around was absolutely deserted - not a single person around. And they began to be seized by some kind of mystical horror: Oleg Karatyan disappeared in front of their eyes so suddenly, as if he had been erased from a sheet of paper with an elastic band.

Then the buzz intensified, the surface of the square began to elusively stretch, and suddenly Oleg appeared on it again. And a puddle through which he stepped over. As it turned out later, Oleg's expensive and reliable watch stopped at the moment of disappearance. The level of education of the businessmen allowed them to make an assumption that, “probably, it was some generators on the TV tower that turned on”.

LONE YACHT

There are more than enough such cases, including in historical documents, they appeared quite regularly in various media outlets, so here are just a couple of those that took place in a time close to us.

In the summer of 2004, there were three cases of "time lapses" - two in England and one in the United States. On June 28, yachtsman Justin Griffin set sail on the English Channel on his yacht. The next day, the bareboat yacht was thrown onto a sandbank near his house. He himself appeared there on July 29, a month after his disappearance, completely unaware of where he had been all that month.

Dornmouth housewife Beverly Mills disappeared on July 12. After 3 weeks, she suddenly "appeared" in a very remote town, not even knowing what kind of city it was. She had the feeling that she had dozed off a little at home, and then woke up in a completely unknown place.

Following Charles Fort, who coined the term "teleportation" for cases of spontaneous instantaneous movement in space, let us call the above cases "temporal teleportation" - that is, spontaneous instantaneous movement in time (it is possible that these phenomena have the same mechanism).

In the above cases, temporal teleportation is directed to the future, although there are cases of movement to the past. And, as we can see, contrary to skeptics, in many cases temporal teleportation is not associated with any spatial movement - the disappeared one may appear after a rather long time in the same place (or not at all, at least in the memory of witnesses - it seems to be known cases when the disappeared one returns after decades).

It is possible, as we can see, and combined cases, when teleportation in time is accompanied by teleportation in space. But it has nothing to do with the astronomical movement of the Earth. For example, housewife Beverly Mills has moved 3 weeks into the future and a couple of hundred kilometers in space. But such a path, without haste, can be done on foot.

Alas, science does not recognize eyewitness accounts as a scientific fact, even if they are confirmed by witnesses. But in 1983, employees of the Beijing Pedagogical Institute showed in a large series of experiments that spatial and temporal teleportation actually exist. Under the conditions of an experiment strictly controlled by electronic means, the famous Chinese psychic "Comrade C" demonstrated by mental effort the teleportation of objects from one room to another - closed, sealed and controlled by video cameras. In fact, he demonstrated combined space-time teleportation, throwing objects into the future for about an hour. Including living objects. And these objects, having passed through the wall and being absent in real time for tens of minutes, remained alive.

What about us? Ironically, it was in 1983 that one of the greatest Soviet physicists, Academician A. B. Migdal stated categorically: "Physicists deny the possibility of transporting material objects by an effort of will." By the way, for this reason, the experiments were entrusted not to physicists from Peking University, but to less blinkered specialists from the Pedagogical Institute.

Be that as it may, Chinese experiments have shown the fundamental possibility of moving objects in time, although the mechanism of such a movement is still beyond the boundaries of modern science.
