As a matter of fact, astrophysicists and space researchers of other specialties seem to have no doubt about it that sooner or later the Earth will die, possibly from a collision with a very large flying space object, but most likely because of the Sun. This conclusion was clearly and reasonably presented in these wonderful films about space on the National Geographic TV channel. Another thing is that it is not worth worrying so far, the Earth has several million years in reserve.

Nevertheless, this idea of the death of our Blue Planet due to the impact (or vice versa, the cessation of the impact) of the Sun, from time to time comes up for discussion.

And then the conversation started again.

The fact is that one of the reasons for the death of the Earth may be a decrease in its magnetic shield. Scientists have been observing a similar stable trend for some period of time. At the same time, it is the Earth's magnetic field that protects it from solar storms. If it were not for magnetic protection, the radiation of the Sun would have destroyed all life on Earth a thousand times.

The weakening of the magnetic field occurs due to the displacement of the earth's magnetic poles. There are calls to prevent such a shift, although it is not yet entirely clear how this can actually be done.

The situation is aggravated by the fact that the number of solar storms has noticeably increased recently. We constantly feel this in our daily life. But more serious and urgent intervention is required. Apparently, the time for simple statement of facts has run out. The most far-sighted scientists insist on the immediate convening of a special conference on this issue.
