“Flying People” have been known since time immemorial. Fairy tales and legends of almost all the peoples of the world contain descriptions of a winged creature that looks like a man. But only recently they began to look more closely, so to speak, trying to understand: what is humanity meeting on its home planet Earth?

First of all, the "flying people" became interested in America. In the US Air Force UFO Archives, there is a report from William S. Lamb of Nebraska. On February 22, 1922, at 5 a.m. Lamb was hunting near Hubell. Suddenly, from somewhere in the sky, a strange high-pitched sound was heard. William looked up and saw a large, dark object flying overhead. Then the magnificently flying "creature" landed, like an airplane, and went, leaving traces, in the deep snow. It was at least eight feet tall.) The creature walked past the tree Lamb was hiding behind and disappeared. William tried to catch up with the alien, following the trail, but could not overtake him.

And here are some more descriptions of equally amazing encounters from the same archive that took place near the small town of Point Pleasant.

Late in the evening of November 15, 1966, at 23.30, two young married couples from the American town of Point Pleasant, Scarbury and Malette, drove out of town by car to their friends. Young people got lost. Circling aimlessly, they drove up to an old factory. As they passed the open gates, one of the women suddenly opened her mouth in amazement. Everyone looked into the darkness and … saw two bright red circles. They were about two inches in diameter and six inches apart. Suddenly the lights separated from the building, moving towards the car, and everyone saw … the eyes of a huge creature.

In its outlines, the creature resembled a person, but it was much larger. He was six and a half to seven feet tall. And it … had large wings folded behind its back!

Red eyes, huge, like headlights, seemed to have a hypnotic effect on those sitting in the car, and all the passengers sat motionless for a minute, without taking their eyes off them. Then someone shouted: "Get out of here!" The car jumped out onto the highway. On a small hill, the young people saw another, exactly the same creature. When the speeding car caught up with it, it spread its wings, "like a bat," and soared vertically upward. The car "squeezed" under a hundred miles per hour, but the "bird" kept above it, and never flapped its wings.

On November 17, 1966, a 17-year-old boy from Point Pleasant was driving along Highway 7. Suddenly a "big bird" appeared next to his car and chased him for a mile. On November 25, at 7.15 am, a young shoe seller Thomas Urie was driving a car and… saw a tall humanoid figure standing in a field near the road. Suddenly she opened a pair of wings and flew vertically upward like a helicopter. The guy sped in the car at 75 miles per hour, but the "flying man" did not lag behind.

And what is interesting, all the inhabitants of the town of Point Pleasant, who saw the flying monster, had a feeling of indescribable fear.

Around the same time, a similar flying creature appeared near the city of New Haven in West Virginia.

On Sunday morning, 18-year-old Connie was driving back from church. As she drove past the abandoned lawns of the local golf club, a large gray figure, at least seven feet tall, appeared to the side. But it was not the height that caught Connie's attention, but the eyes: large, round, glowing with red fire. Suddenly, behind the figure, a pair of wings opened, and it slowly and silently climbed vertically upward, like a helicopter. During the flight, the creature did not flap its wings.

Several decades passed, and the "flying man" reappeared, but this time in England. On November 16, 1963, four Kent County boys were returning home from dancing on a quiet country road near Sandling Park. Suddenly, the crackling of branches was heard behind the trees by the road, and a huge black figure flew out of the bushes right at them. She was about the size of a man and had wings like a bat.

A very similar creature was seen in Russia, in the Yaroslavl region. The student Igor Kuleshov was sent to the village of Nagorye of the Pereslavl region for agricultural work. One September evening in 1979, he and a girl he knew went for a walk in the field. The sun had already set over the horizon, and it was early dusk. Suddenly the student saw that from the side where the sun had just sunk, at a height of 25 - 30 meters from the ground, a dark object was slowly flying. When he approached, he managed to see a man who was slowly flying through the air. Moreover, he was dressed in a space suit reminiscent of the armor of a medieval knight. His head was like an overturned bucket. The body of the flying man was surrounded by a barely perceptible halo of glow … Suddenly the flying man abruptly changed course and went straight at the young people. Flying over the heads of the shocked young people, he straightened his left hand, and the direction of his flight smoothly changed towards the forest, behind which he disappeared in a moment. When the "knight" was above the student and the girl, they heard a sound reminiscent of the rustling of tree leaves in the wind.

Recalling this amazing meeting, Igor said that when the flying man approached him, his body became numb. He couldn't even move. This state lasted for 5 - 7 minutes. Gradually, the young man began to feel again that he could move, but the depression continued to manifest itself for several more days. A couple of days after contact with the "flying man" Igor had a heart attack and was sent home. Before his trip to the Yaroslavl Region, Igor was an absolutely healthy person. But after meeting with the "flying knight" the doctor, having examined the young man and carefully examining the cardiogram made in the polyclinic, told the patient that he should not go to agricultural work with such a heart.

Manuela B., 22, a student from Parma, saw the "flying humanoid" on December 16, 1991. According to her, it was a creature “dark green in color, wrinkled and clumsy in appearance. Two huge eyes stand out on the face, red, round and blinking. The creature moved horizontally, slowly, like an astronaut in zero gravity, and turned its head like a robot. At the same time, his eyes blinked. The creature either hung motionless in the air, then moved from place, then rose and fell."

What have the rather numerous witnesses faced in countries located in different hemispheres? Despite the fact that in some cases the “flying people” had wings, and in others they did not, it still seems that they have the same origin. They all had huge red eyes and possessed the ability to have a hypnotic effect. And, judging by the fact that the creatures, without moving their wings, easily caught up with fast-moving cars, it is clear that some other device moved them in the air.

American scientists, who more often met “flying people” in the air of their country, put forward two hypotheses about their possible origin. The first hypothesis boils down to the following. The military used the population of areas located near secret bases to conduct long-term experiments on the control of human consciousness and affected them with some kind of special radiation that caused the same type of hallucinations. The second hypothesis suggests that winged half-humans-half-birds actually exist. But their homeland is not Earth. They periodically appear in our dimension, and then disappear without a trace in theirs. In this case, it would be interesting to know what caused such a strange cyclicality in the appearance of this phenomenon. Perhaps, "portals" to other worlds open precisely with such frequency?
