The village of Ayaya was once located in the Ust-Maisky ulus (Republic of Sakha, Yakutia).

If you fly around the vicinity of the settlement in a helicopter, strange stripes, devoid of any vegetation, will become clearly visible. Most of all, they resemble cave paintings found in the Nazca Valley in South America.

Unfortunately, there are no photos of this place on the web. The stripes cannot be found on Google maps, since the exact place where the Ayaya village was located is not indicated.

Until the 50s of the XX century, the village of Ayaya was no different from other settlements of this type. However, in the days of Khrushchev, in accordance with plans to enlarge collective farms, it was abandoned. People were transported to other villages, and strange, mysterious things began to happen in the abandoned village.

After a while, Ayaya was wiped off the face of the earth. Presumably, the fire was the cause. According to another version, the houses of the abandoned village were washed away by the flood.

However, the local cemetery remained intact. Neither floods nor fires touched him. But local residents try not to approach the place where the village once stood, and there are reasons for this.

V. Stepanov, a resident of the Ust-Maya village, says:

“My father told me that with his own eyes several times he observed terrible things, in the otherworld of which there was no doubt. According to him, a shaman woman lived in Ayaya. The fact that she was there is also confirmed by the elderly residents of Ust-May.

Promotional video:

My father, once collecting honeysuckle growing wild there with friends on the site of a former village, being separate from everyone on the river near the village, noticed at some distance from himself a lonely elderly woman. He noticed her just at the moment when she was gazing at him.

As soon as I noticed the old woman, I saw how she stretched out her right hand to him and silently beckoned to her with her index. The father did not approach her, but on the contrary, feeling that something was wrong, he went to his own. There he told about what he had seen.

Imagine his surprise when he was told that he may have seen the spirit of a shaman woman who used to live in Ayaya. Its ghost has already been observed by residents of Ust-Mai, who come here to fish and pick berries."

V. Stepanov told another story about the now abandoned settlement:

“One day my father and a friend went to Ayaya to fish. They caught her on the lake near the village. They were sitting together in the boat, with the father's friend at the bow of the boat, and the father at the stern. For some reason, the ship suddenly began to sway for no reason.

And suddenly the father noticed that his friend in a frightened way pointed to something located below to the right of the father. Imagine the surprise of the Pope when he saw next to him a hand emerging from the river and rocking the boat. And obviously with the aim of turning it over. Realizing that panic would not lead to anything, but would only aggravate the situation, he asked his comrade to move, then coolly took an oar and whacked the hand that was swinging the boat.

As soon as he did this, a transparent creature of human height burst out of the water and, leaving small footprints on the water, as if a pancake-stone had been thrown over them, ran with a wild roar through the water to the opposite bank.

The creature then walked along the river bank and groaned in pain. People are still afraid to go to that lake and believe that if you take the things left by the former inhabitants from there, the person who took them will experience misfortune."

Another "attraction" of the anomalous zone is those very strange stripes that are perfectly distinguishable from a bird's eye view. Geologist P. P. Serkin first drew attention to them in the 1980s. Once he flew by plane from Ust-Mai to Allah-Yun. The plane had to deviate from the course and fly over the place where the village of Ayaya was once. Then Serkin noticed the stripes.

Here's what he himself says about his discovery:

“What I saw was incomprehensible to me, and only years later, when they began to talk about UFOs and the unsolved mysteries of the planet, I learned about the runways in the Andes and, it seems, understood what was the matter. It was in the summer of 1978. After 45 minutes of flight on the route Ust-May - Allah-Yun, the vast spurs of the Dzhugdzhur ridge begin below.

On an uneven mountainous surface, three wide stripes, about 30-40 m apart, very strangely located, become visible at once. One long, two short, and all together they intersect in one place. The point of their intersection is a small mountain lake, into which one stream flows.

The strips are completely free of vegetation, there are no remnants on them: neither from trees nor from shrubs. The central strip, rising from the lake along the side of the mountain, seems to see through the rocks, then three or four hundred meters passes along the ridge of the mountain, capturing both slopes. After parting with the ridge, it goes into the northern distance. Due to the unevenness of the terrain, the end of the strip is not visible from an aircraft flying at an altitude of 800-1000 m.

There were no villages or roads in this area at that time. The forest is poor, the climate is very harsh. But where did the stripes come from? If these are glades and they were made by topographers or workers of the forest fire brigade, then by the direction of what mad chief do the strips pass, neglecting the difficulties of the relief, across the lake, rocky cliffs and along the ridge of the mountain?"

By the way, similar strange stripes, only not in mountainous areas, but in forests, were seen in other places. Our site published an article about unusual stripes filmed from an airplane in the Siberian taiga.
