The global decline of morals and the violation of family values is a topic that experts increasingly began to address. Today, the stars of the porn industry are already at the head of industrial enterprises and institutions, wearing robes and teaching children in schools. Increasingly, gay and lesbian parades are taking place. The regularity of pedophile scandals has eclipsed financial and social problems. However, few people know how such phenomena were treated in ancient times. After all, what is happening today is just "baby talk" in comparison with the sexual education of the ancient world.

Ancient Greece

In ancient times, the world really fell into a deep abyss. Everything that was considered common for the Greeks is a shock for us. And the first thing that is considered disgusting is the complete lack of sexual orientation in ancient Greece. Then the inhabitants were not divided into homosexuals, bisexuals and heterosexuals. Everyone was "all-sexual." The Greeks tolerated bestiality, which is confirmed by stories about the Minotaur, goat-footed satyrs, Triton, as well as ugly cinephals. This indicates an unnatural sexual relationship between the inhabitants of Greece and representatives of the animal world.

According to local beliefs, the ancient Greek supreme deity used three sexes when creating a person: male, female and androgynous (male-female). That is why, according to the Greeks, a man seeks a man for his pleasure, and a woman - a woman. So, in Hellas, sexual attraction to members of the same sex was considered godly and natural. They never used the terms "gay" or "lesbian". However, there was pedophilia.

For the ancient Greeks, this phenomenon, together with pederasty, was an important component of the boy's physical and spiritual development. This method of education was approved by the state. Already from the age of 12, the boy received a senior mentor who gave him gifts, made compliments, instructed him in male prowess, was a guardian, comrade, teacher, counselor and … a sexual partner. The boy was called the "listener", and the older friend was called the "inspirer." It was a shame for a grown man if he did not attract a boy to him. In turn, the absence of a senior mentor is shameful for the boy.

Homosexual relationships were considered more sacred and noble for the ancient Greeks than the usual love of a man and a woman.

Role of women

In the ancient Greek world, a woman is an insignificant creature that cannot satisfy all the needs of a man. Therefore, they were used mainly for procreation. But all the roads were opened for the young men. They were taught that only with representatives of the same gender is it possible to build true love. A young boy for the Greek was much preferable to a beautiful woman.

Any man in Hellas knew perfectly well that homosexuality prolongs life and is good for the body. Even the world famous Hippocrates kept in touch with homosexuals. He believed that adult men gained youth and health from sex with young boys, and boys became mature.

In ancient Greece, male prostitution was always condemned, in contrast to female prostitution. It was believed that selling his body for a fee could easily betray the interests of the country.

As depraved as the Greeks were, they had strict laws regarding sexual behavior. For example, a Greek could have an intimate relationship with women, men, and also with adolescents, but with certain conditions. First, in sex he must dominate. Passivity was condemned, especially with regard to anal pleasures. The unconcerned partner was called "effeminate" and was not recruited into military service. If such was found in the army, he was beaten to death with sticks.

Uninitiated homosexuals, like actors and prostitutes, did not have the right to vote in court or elections. Secondly, the object of attraction must be at a lower social level.

Although the principles of monogamy were observed in ancient Greece, adultery extended only to women. If the wife cheated, the husband had the right to kill not only her lover, but also his wife. When a man cheated, society turned a blind eye to it.

Ancient Rome

Ancient Rome practically did not differ from ancient Greece. On the feast of the god of wine Bacchus, massive orgies and depraved sexual gatherings were held. All these intimate entertainments were called bacchanalia. What was not practiced there: BDSM, group sex and all sorts of other kinds of sexual perversion. The worst thing about this is the participation of young children in such events.

Rome reached complete vice and debauchery a little later. Public sadism, copulation with animals, orgies, circus sexual abuse - all this led to the decline of the Roman Empire. Even its rulers were notorious. Octavian Augustus and Julius Caesar were lovers. The Roman historian Mark Antony wrote that Octavian slept with other people's wives, cohabited with his uncle, raped noble women in front of their husbands, and also sold his body to the wealthy Roman Tyrtius. The daughter of Octavian Augustus, Julia, was much more depraved and even participated in the night orgies of the Roman Forum.

Scientists, having carried out another study, proved that our ancestors were very different from modern society in the breadth of their sexual views. For them, vicious relationships and depraved sex were a completely natural process, there were no taboos or complexes about this.

Our world in terms of sex education has become more and more reminiscent of the antique, which, due to its depravity, has slipped into the abyss. What awaits us in the future and how far can we go in our sexual desires, one can only guess?
