In Brittany, in the northwest of France, in the commune of Carnot, there is an unusual hilly area called the Valley of Saints. The project was born not so long ago, so in the future its creators plan to occupy thousands of granite statues.
The initiator and developer of the idea is the local philosopher Philippe Abjean. The project is financed exclusively by donations from the community and anyone interested. If you want to install a sculpture of your saint, then it will cost you about 12 thousand euros. Philip believes that one cannot divide religion in the valley. Therefore, saints from the Celtic, Gallo-Roman and Christian religions are present here. It is noteworthy that no sculpture is alike, since each is created by only one selected sculptor. At the moment, the number of statues has exceeded sixty, and the number continues to grow.
