In October 1963, an ordinary American family living in Methuena, Massachusetts, began to be haunted by an incomprehensible and eerie supernatural phenomenon.
One morning Francis Martin and his wife and children noticed a smudge on the wall in their living room. Less than half an hour later, the smudge increased many times in size. Then a clap was heard, and icy water poured from the wall. However, after a few seconds it stopped.
The surprised father of the family immediately ruled out freezing of pipes. The temperature outside was above zero, and besides, the Martins recently contacted a specialist who checked all their pipes and assured customers that freezing would not happen even in the coldest months. Frightened by the inexplicable phenomenon, the family invited the sheriff to their place, and the latter saw with his own eyes how a stream of water gushed out of the wall at a distance of a meter. Of course, the law enforcement officer could do nothing to help the family. He only advised the Martins to live some time elsewhere and call a more reliable professional who would check all the pipes in the house.

Francis did just that. He summoned an expensive master and, taking his relatives, went to visit his sister. However, the repairman who came did not find any faulty pipes or leaks in the house. The water stopped pouring out of nowhere, as soon as the owners left the house. But in the home of the family's relatives, the same thing immediately began: in all the rooms, fountains began to beat from the walls. The water poured each time for about twenty seconds, then abruptly stopped flowing.
