For more than 50 years, every month on the same day, the dogs that find themselves on this bridge, for some inexplicable reason, jump down from a 15-meter height and break on stones. But the worst thing in this story is that those animals that miraculously manage to survive come back to the bridge to throw themselves down.

As a result of observations, it was noticed that the dogs always jump from the same place - between the last two flights on the right side of the bridge.

In an attempt to find an explanation for this phenomenon, scientists have repeatedly conducted research. It has even been suggested that dogs jump because they smell from rat holes under the bridge. However, everyone understands that no normal dog will rush from such a height just to catch a rat.

Among the many theories and assumptions, the ghost version is the most popular. The thing is that not far from the unfortunate bridge is the Gothic Overtown castle.

For more than a hundred years, locals have been talking about a certain "White Lady of Overtown", whose ghost is occasionally met by some passers-by.

There is another legend that says that it was from this bridge that a certain Kevin Moy threw his newborn child, suspecting that an evil spirits had infiltrated him. True, realizing his terrible deed, he immediately rushed down himself. It is said that since then, these two ghosts - a child and his father, have been making dogs jump from a bridge. Although some argue that the dogs themselves jump, mistaking these ghosts in the water for people, and seek to help them.

This 3-year-old Springer Spaniel Cassie is one of the few dogs lucky enough to survive a fall from a bridge. Cassie made an unexpected jump while walking with his owner Alice Trevorrow and her son Thomas.

Alice recounts what happened: “We just got out of the car, and Cassie immediately ran to the bridge. Then she turned her head, looked and made a sharp jump. Cassie was lucky to survive.

But Donna Cooper's collie, named Ben, suffered much more seriously. After a tragic jump, his jaw and one of his paws were broken, and his back was seriously injured.

In order to somehow protect the dogs from accidents, local authorities installed a warning sign near the bridge: “Dangerous bridge. Please keep your dogs on a leash."
