At the end of the 30s of the last century, one of the old people of the village of Rozhkovo, Krasnoyarsk Territory, told an interesting story about the Glade of Death, or, as it is also called, the Devil's Cemetery. He began the story with the fact that they needed to transport the herd through the taiga to Bratsk. We decided to lead the animals from the village of Kovy along the river through the villages of Uyar and Karamyshevo. Fleeing from annoying midges, they spent the night near the water. Until dawn, the cattle stood in the river, and then slowly began to disperse through the forest, hoping to find some food.
And one such morning, the drivers realized that two more cows were missing. The thought that the cows were attacked by a bear was dismissed immediately, since the watchdogs did not make a sound all night. There were no wolves either. Two people, one of whom was the same old man, went to look for the missing cattle. Soon they heard the wild barking of dogs. It is difficult to imagine their amazement when, rushing to the barking of the dogs, they ran out to the flat round meadow, frightening with its lifelessness. Noticing the owners, the dogs calmed down and was about to run on the bare ground, when they suddenly rushed back, picking up their tails. In fact, the round, about 120 meters radius of the Glade of Death, instilled fear. In some places on it one could clearly see the remains of dead forest dwellers. The branches of the trees located in the affected area of the clearing turned black and charred, as if they had been on fire.

It seems that there is a way to explain the principle of operation of the glade as follows. Our planet can be thought of as a giant electromagnetic resonator, where waves coming from outer space create eddy currents. Let us assume that in the area that we call the Field of Death there is an ancient “mouth” of the paleovolcano, which is currently inactive and lowered by its lower end into the mantle. Thus, in the presence of certain conditions, it is capable of transmitting through itself an alternating electromagnetic field to the surface of the planet.
All living organisms in the area of the glade's magnetic field are exposed to it. Since our blood is essentially an electrolyte, then when a certain value of the current flowing through it is exceeded, electrocoagulation will occur. The red color of the meat of the "victims" of the Glade of Death is explained by the increased capillary pressure. Thrombosis was fatal. Echoes of underground fires
The key to the mystery of the Glade of Death, according to researcher V. Zhuravlev, is the scarlet shade of the meat of animal corpses. The area of the glade adjoins the Tunguska coal basin, where, presumably, an underground fire is imperceptible. Due to the lack of oxygen, the combustion process of coal generates the release of carbon monoxide. However, the structure of the soil makes it possible for gas to flow out only in a certain area. It easily makes its way through large layers of the earth, and outside its borders, the gas road is blocked by "impassable" rocks. The air is noticeably heavier than carbon monoxide, so that invisible dangerous gas rushes straight up through the only path available to it.
Carbon monoxide enters the bloodstream freely, expelling oxygen from it. This is how the very compound is created, which turns the blood itself and all organs in the body into a rich scarlet color. The process can be accompanied by pain in the head and even loss of feelings.
According to the scientist, this is the simplest and most mundane theory. But nevertheless, the decent age of the Glade of Death and the pronounced boundaries of the effect make us think about further study. It may well be that the blame for the destructive effect of the glade is the thermal decomposition of poisonous metals such as lead.
