As a result of global warming, life in the Arctic will become acceptable, and by 2050 the “Union of the Northern Countries” will be formed. In contrast to the rest of the dying world, captured by barbarians from the south, in this Union a "welfare state" will be built. And Russia will finally get the opportunity to heal humanly.
At the end of 2010, the civilized world was truly captured by the book "The World in 2050" by the famous geologist, Professor Lawrence Smith (see its cover below). In Russia, the book, like all major global trends in recent years, has gone unnoticed. The country is immersed in hibernation, and when it does wake up for a short moment, it cannot think of anything else but a choice between Putin No. 1 and Putin No. 2. But in vain. Smith, in his scientific work, paints a favorable future for Russia. Moreover, for this favored RF, almost nothing will have to be done - nature will work for it.
Lawrence Smith believes that by 2050, due to global warming, the average annual temperature in northern latitudes will rise by 7 degrees. Thus, in the same Murmansk the average annual temperature will become 6.6 degrees (warmer than now in Moscow, where it is + 5.8 degrees), and in the Yamal-Nenets Salekhard + 0.6 degrees (slightly warmer than now in Murmansk). The Arctic Ocean along the shores of Eurasia and North America will be cleared of ice. The tundra will gradually turn into taiga.
In contrast, for example, Florida will be flooded, and California will be desert. The white civilized world will stretch to the north. Moreover, from the south it will be supported by “new barbarians” deprived of water and arable land.
As a result, the "Union of the Nordic countries" will be formed, which will include the Arctic states: Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Canada and the USA. “Indeed, the same Swedes and Finns have much more in common with Icelanders than with Greeks and Italians; and the Russians - with the Finns than with the people of Central Asia,”writes Smith. But Russia still cannot do without immigrants from Central Asia, the scientist predicts: they will leave their lifeless countries of dust storms to work at oil and gas enterprises in the Arctic. But also all the countries of the Arctic will accommodate the rest of the Europeans leaving their countries "for a better share" to the north.
As a result, the “Union of the Nordic Countries” will become isolated from the rest of the world, building states of “social welfare”. The professor also calls this Union "Northern Rome", implying by this name and cultural concept - as a place of storage of European civilization. In total, 250 million people will live in the Arctic, and the GDP of this region will reach 7 trillion. dollars (for example: Russian GDP is now about 1.5 trillion dollars), is described in the book's abstract in the American newspaper Wall Street Journal.

Lawrence Smith, as a man from the scientific establishment, politically correctly bypasses the concretization of the topic of "new barbarians". But Western writers willingly do it for him.
So, a little earlier than Smith's book, the famous English writer Sam North wrote his work on forecasts for 2050. He devoted most of his essays to the disintegration of the United States. And I wrote a little about Europe:
“High energy prices, disease, illegal immigration, civil disobedience and unrest in most cities, linked to terrorism from various end-of-the-world religious groups, Muslims and separatist groups, have led to anarchy on the continent. Greece, Italy, France and Spain, overwhelmed by the mass of invading Africans, were literally devastated. The situation was aggravated by the fact that the US military forces had previously left Europe, and the Europeans, who had not previously invested in the army, were left on their own.
Enclaves of normal life remained only in Scandinavia and in the north of Russia."
The future of the United States Sam North also paints in dark colors.
America is becoming a country of Latin Americans - by 2030 there will be 125 million people (out of 470 million people inhabiting the United States and Canada by that time). The second minority is Asians, who literally occupied the west of the USA and Canada (up to 100 million people). Gradually, there the Chinese take power into their own hands. But the number of blacks is increasing slightly (up to 60 million people). Moreover, blacks become allies of whites in the fight against Latinos and Asians. This is because whites and blacks remain Protestant, while the rest of America is becoming increasingly Catholic. Disengagement in the United States is no longer racial, but socio-cultural.
Catholicism becomes dominant in the United States, and this leads to conservative isolationism. California, New York, Florida, the southern United States are becoming anti-liberal places - abortions are prohibited there, freedom of speech is prohibited, homosexuals are deprived of their rights.
White Protestants are reaching north of the continent, leaving the west, center, and south of the United States to violence, massive unemployment and poverty. White still doesn't give up. Many choose agrarian autonomies similar to the current Eimish. In the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, in the American Massachusetts, new states are founded (all this reminds the Boer states in southern Africa in the 19th century)."
The destruction will also affect China. Eastern, seaside provinces are disconnected from the rest of the country. In the West and in the center of China, poverty, savagery and expansionist aspirations reign (of course, to the North).
This forecast also speaks about the economy of the future. Robotization, reducing the workweek to 30 hours and retirement at 80 lead to huge unemployment (up to 60%). Oil companies like BP or Shell, after the widespread introduction of the hydrogen engine and the rejection of hydrocarbons, are reorienting themselves to control over water and electricity.
Sam North's essay says nothing about Russia. But the whole train of his thought also pushes to the idea of the North as a place of preservation of the white Judeo-Christian civilization. This means that we will still be saved in the taiga of Novaya Zemlya and Franz Josef Land.
