In one of the episodes of the series "Black Mirror" was told the story of how a young girl, worried about a deceased young man, ordered his "copy" based on artificial intelligence technologies. Repeatedly "Black Mirror" became a prophetic series and something similar happened now: robots are presented in Japan that imitate the voice and behavior of a person who has passed away. These robots are even made masks of the faces of deceased people.

It should be noted right away that the inhabitants of the land of the rising sun can use such robots for only 49 days. This number of days is a period of mourning after the funeral of a relative. And the developers believe that in this way it will be easier for a person to survive the loss.

At the same time, it is better to think about creating such a robot in advance. A person needs to meet with a number of specialists who will find out the personality traits, record speech and gestures, and scan the face for subsequent printing on a 3D printer. Based on the data received, a program is created, which, after death, is installed into the robot along with the face. The robot simulates personality, hand movements, head movements, speech and all other data received from the deceased.

Etsuko Ichihara and her company Digital Shaman are responsible for the development. Ichihara says that she came up with the concept of such a robot after the death of her grandmother.

Then Ichihara felt that after death the departed person very quickly becomes "distant". So she came up with the idea of creating a robot. After someone dies, the family can spend 49 days with the car until they can accept the death of their loved one.
