Intimidation of Russians in the Baltics, provocations in Crimea, lies in the liberal media and a "conciliatory" regiment
We have become accustomed to the fact that in recent years in the spring, as the great and truly national holiday - the Victory Day of the media approaches, publicists and liberal experts begin to compete in hatred of this event. Streams of dirt and slander of all kinds - from unpretentious insults “below the belt” to sophisticated and pseudo-scientific, but, nevertheless, completely false constructions, fall on this holy Day for most of our fellow citizens. Everything is used - from the old propaganda clichés of Dr. Goebbels to new-made "discoveries".
This year was no exception, although due to the pandemic, all other events and news stories receded into the background. However, the fighters against "victoriousness" (as the public of liberal and neo-Nazi views call the veneration of this date by our people) has a new reason to accuse the authorities, which, allegedly due to "their ambitions" are ready to sacrifice the lives and health of people, arranging "magnificent celebrations" …
It must be said that the efforts of liberal propagandists have caused and are causing considerable amazement among Russians. After all, the ancestors of many of these accusers survived only thanks to the victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War, and some of them were participants in the war. And people are perplexed: how is that? What is the reason for this hatred?
It can be added to this that some of these older “accusers” in Soviet times sang the feat of the Soviet people quite deeply, and “changed their shoes” only recently.
Meanwhile, the answer to the question about the motivation of these people is quite simple - this is the order that they are fulfilling. As they say, nothing personal, just business.
It's no secret that the United States and its closest allies are waging a hybrid war against our country, the most important component of which is psychological (information) operations aimed at creating an extremely negative image of our country, its history and dehumanizing our people.

And Victory Day in this regard is one of the main targets of our enemies, for at least two reasons, first of all, because this historical event is the cornerstone of our recent history, truly uniting our people and all political forces of a patriotic orientation from communists to monarchists. This is an important part of our national self-identification and one of the foundations of the Russian world, whose borders extend far beyond the borders of the Russian Federation and even the Russian people.
In addition, the memory of the Great Patriotic War is an important and clear example of sacrificial service, genuine collectivism and national unity, self-denial and heroism. As long as people remember and honor this great feat, they try to act like their heroic ancestors themselves. This, of course, is categorically disliked by those who are preparing the destruction of Russia and the enslavement of its people.
In addition, the West is categorically not happy with the image of the Soviet soldier-liberator who saved European countries from Nazi enslavement, and entire nations from extermination. Because of this, the psychological warfare bodies of NATO countries and NGOs working in conjunction with them, private foundations and media holdings are trying, if not to “refute” the historical truth (which is unrealistic), then at least to change public opinion regarding this great event.
Mass media and NGOs from the Baltic States, Poland, the Czech Republic and Canada have been particularly active in this direction. They are very energetic in promoting the idea of equal responsibility for unleashing the Second World War between Germany and the Soviet Union. Moreover, the first three countries focus on the notorious "Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact", which, as the propagandists of these countries assure, was the reason for the outbreak of the war. It should be noted that this "version" received the support of the European Parliament.
We add that a number of countries that actively joined this campaign, such as Romania or Finland, were Hitler's allies in the war against the USSR, and now they are thus seeking to absolve themselves of the historical guilt, which, by the way, no one has. imputes, for complicity in unleashing a war, and war crimes committed on the territory of our country.
In a number of countries, collaborators and the pro-fascist terrorist underground are blatantly glorified as “fighters for independence and opponents of communist tyranny”, who are even passed off as “martyrs” and “victims of the Soviets”.
A special place in all these information and psychological operations over the past six years after the reunification of Crimea with Russia has been occupied by the Crimean theme. Western and pro-Western propagandists seek to convince the Crimean Tatar population of the peninsula that the nationwide celebration of May 9 is a tragic date for them, signifying a new stage of enslavement and oppression.
So, since September 2019, the extremist organization "Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People" banned in Russia, together with the NGO "Crimean Tatar Resource Center" (Kiev) and the "Estonian Institute of Human Rights" with the financial support of the F. Nauman Foundation "For Freedom" (Bonn) and the "National Endowment for Democracy" (Washington) launched an active information campaign, during which many publications were organized about the "continuity of the policy of the Russian Empire and the Russian Federation aimed at oppressing the indigenous peoples of Crimea", while giving a positive assessment of the actions of the Nazi occupiers on peninsula. With the help of these "stuffing" activists of the Ukrainian structures "Crimea SOS", "Human Rights Information Center", "Crimean Human Rights Group", the Center for Civil Education "Almenida",The Center for Civil Liberties, together with members of radical Crimean Tatar groups, planned to conduct a series of provocations on the peninsula and on its border from the Ukrainian side in May this year, so that the relevant stories would be broadcast by Western media in the future.
The central event of this entire expanded "show" was to be the "March to Crimea" with the participation of radicals and Western representatives, announced by the leader of the Mejlis members Chubarov. However, due to the coronavirus, this provocation has been postponed indefinitely.
In the already mentioned Baltic states, since the beginning of this year, special services have been trying to "prevent" festive events on May 9. For this, representatives of Russian communities and anti-fascist organizations are trying to intimidate. They are summoned for "conversations" during which they are threatened with reprisals and even extrajudicial executions, demanding to sign a statement refusing to organize festive events.
As you know, the "Immortal Regiment" - a genuinely popular action supported in many countries of the world, evokes special hatred of Russian liberals and their Western patrons.
For example, in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, British and American NGOs are actively working to disrupt this action, trying to involve local nationalist groups. According to the templates prepared for them by the functionaries of Freedom House, Peace Corps, Coalition for Civil Society, Precedent and Adilet Legal Clinic, they disseminate through the local media the assertion that the Immortal Regiment is not only an attempt Russian colonialists "to impose on local peoples traditions that are alien to them, but also an instrument of" neocolonialism "with the help of which Moscow is trying to" once again enslave "the Kazakhs and Kyrgyz.
They are trying to oppose the nationwide action in our country. But if in Russia the pro-Western forces are trying to discredit it, claiming that its participants are "being driven off by order", then in other countries where such statements are simply impossible. Great Britain, with the support of the USA, Australia and France, is planning to launch a similar project - mass actions “Anniversary of the Reconciliation of Hostility in Europe”, such a “conciliation regiment”. However, this “alternative” is not supposed to have any particularly pacifist pathos. Its leitmotif is the unification of Europe, which has forgotten about the old enmity, in the face of a new threat from "barbarians from the east" who are "militarizing the consciousness of Russians", preparing them for an "offensive to the West." Quite like the "unification of Europe against the Bolshevik hordes", which Reichsfuehrer SS Heinrich Himmler dreamed of in the last months of the war.
However, it is obvious that the British idea will not be implemented, at least this year, again because of the pandemic. Special efforts of special propagandists and specialists in psychological warfare in France, the Netherlands and Germany are directed against one of the main events of the anniversary - a military parade and other mass actions, both in their countries and in Russia. They are trying to convince that all these celebrations are a vivid example of the "anti-popular policy of the Kremlin," ready for the sake of its "imperial ambitions" to provoke a new powerful round of the epidemic.
All these passages, in accordance with instructions received from abroad, were regularly circulated by the “fifth column” through the liberal media and social networks - Facebook, Telegram, Vkontakte, Odnoklassniki.
But since Vladimir Putin made the decision to postpone the Victory Parade and a number of other festive celebrations due to the difficult epidemic situation, these significant efforts went to pieces and even to a certain extent reduced the level of trust in the sources.
Recall that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that an air parade will be held in the skies over Moscow on May 9, in which airplanes and helicopters will take part.
In addition, according to Putin, a festive fireworks will also take place in the center of a number of Russian cities on May 9, and everything planned for this day will certainly take place later, including the parade on Red Square and the Immortal Regiment action. According to him, this will happen when the situation with coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the country is safe.
However, there is no doubt that all the events that will take place will be interpreted by the West and its agents as a "feast during the plague." And any efforts of the country's leadership, as well as popular initiatives aimed at preserving historical memory, will meet with fierce opposition from pro-Western propagandists. Well, of course, the money needs to be worked out.
